Nice job, Vanessa.
(Was there more than just Vanessa? tl;dr)
Cool that you haven't smoked in 5 months, if it wasn't a lie.
I smoke everyday and my mrs doesn't know. I hate it, I sneak around, find excuses to go out at the weekend, smoke all day at work. I have a routine at the end of each work day involving soap, deoderant & gum. It's the only lie I tell. I feel guilty about it but I like smoking so I do it anyway. I plan to quit before I'm 30. I wish I never told her I quit, but she was bitching at me so I said it to keep her quiet, but now it's a big thing as I've been lying about it for about a year. That's what would be the issue, the lying more than anything else.
Grats on staying off the smokes. I kicked a 15 a day 5 year habit a year and a bit ago (with the aid of nicotine gum, a couple of which I still have per night).. It's surprisingly easy after the first 28 days, although it wouldn't have been half as easy without this book: Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking: Amazon.co.uk: Allen Carr: Books
The most interesting part was fulfilling 100% of my daily nicotine requirements through cessation aids, and finding out that a majority of my smoking cravings were purely psychological habit, and nothing to do with the drug itself.
well, now they are caused by the nicotine gum! I think you should read the book again.
