So I signed up with phony information...

Okay long story short I signed up for an account on Bodog and used phony information because:

1) I wanted to play online poker for some entertainment
-and-
2) I was worried about providing my real info because I live in Illinois (where I worry about gambling laws) and my age is between 18 and 21 (I was also unsure about legality).

In retrospect this was stupid, but now "Mr. James Bond" at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has grinded up a good sum of money from freeroll winnings and I was wondering if there was anyway I could get at it. Your help is always appreciated.

Uh, well shit. As I can see you can either:
1.Make another account with your real shit and transfer your money to that.
2.See if anyone here pllays on bodog and see if you could set up a transfer rwith them for monies on another site.

Find someone on Bodog, play them HU $100nl and dump them all of it. Have them transfer it to you on another site.

people can legally change their name. bodog doesn't restrict you to the original name you used when signing up. i used a fake last name when i signed up years ago for the same reason as OP and when it was time to cashout i called and told them i needed to update my name and they changed it with no problem.

can you buy a gift card from them?

B: Someone have an unsecured wireless network near you? Make a new account, log in once from your home and another to the new account through your neighbors wireless so your not coming from the same IP, and chip dump to yourself.

Either way, you can be screwed if it doesn't go right.

Call them and tell them that you just turned 21, and are legally able to change your name in your state now. You are changing your name because you are really named James Bond, and it is extremely annoying when you get phone calls from dunken idiots in the middle of the night because they want to know how M is. Try something along those lines. Make sure that, if you don't get what you need, talk to someone higher up the chain.

So I signed up with phony information and...

a) I called, and my personal information was updated over the phone.
b) I legally changed my name to James Bond and am planning on picking up my checks at 1600 Pennsylvania Av in Washington, D.C.
c) Had the following conversation with a customer service rep:

Rep: "Okay I talked with security, all we need to do is setup a NEW account with the new, correct information.
Bond: "Great. And all my funds from my original account will be transferred to the new one?" (can you just feel the incoming hilarity?)
Rep: (casually) "Oh no it's been zeroed since ownership of the account cannot be verified."
Bond (still calm and cool, but mostly curious) "So my knowledge of the account's password and ownership of the attached email address doesn't count for anything?"

Rep: "[Long standard-issue reponse memorized during employee training which says nothing and serves to baffle dumber customers into compliance]"

Translation: "Well, instead of keeping you around and taking rakes off of your SNG buy-ins, it would be faster and easier just to take all of your money now."

Bond: ... but why Bodog...? why...
Bond: ... for England, Bodog?

Bodog Rep: No... for me. *lets go of Bonds hand, Bond falls from the cradle and splats on the satellite. Chopper comes, screen fades, credits roll.
