I'll be moving up to 50NL shortly, and I'd like to know if the short-handed games are way better than full games since I hear so many people whine about how nitty 50NL is. Does 6/5 max make a big difference or is it all a nitfest? Anyone have experience with Ongame 5-max 50NL? That's most likely where I'll be when I make the move.

Here's the deal. SH you can play less good hands. If this appeals, go for it; if you're a nut peddler and it scares you rigid, maybe warm up by opening up your hands at FR first.
SH you get about 50% more hands in. If you can keep the same winrate that equates to 50% more profit. That's why you should play SH.

Enlighten us Fnord? I think I've read around here that you don't have to loosen up as much as everyone thinks to make money at 6-max. ilikeaces gave a pretty wide pre-flop stat range that he thinks can be profitable, but the low end was around 15/8, which is pretty tight. Is this what you mean?

6-max drives otherwise rational players to give crazy action with wreckless disreguard as to who they're playing against.
