Let us say someone like Hollingol moves down to 2 NL, he spends 2 years there and has extensive reads on almost all the players there.
What would his winrate be? I mean is it possible he could obtain something like 50BB/100 hands? Maybe even 100BB?150BB?200BB!!!
probably 30-40 as a maximum
Hall might even be a losing player at 2nl.
But I am more interested in whar are your currents winrates
and what stakes?

I play .01/.02 that is normally called 2NL, but at the site i play at the maximum buy in is $5. This is absolutely massive in terms of my winrate. I have made heaps in stackings with showdowns, and if the max buy in was $2, I think i would just about halve my winrate (130bb/100, yes very streaky so far) so hypothetically i could be at 60-70bb/100 with $2 stacks and then with downswings and quieter times, average that 30bb/100 at 2NL that people talk about. But at NL with .01/.02 blinds with $5 buy ins, surely that maximum figure now just about doubles.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Have you considered the fact that you only need to make 4.5PTBB/100 to be making the same. And even a 5PTBB/100 at £50 would be an improvement.Quote:

When I was clearing bonuses on Boss media sites, the 10NL is terrible. I made ~$100 everytime for 1k raked hands. At 3-4 different sites.
So, say 2/3 hands are raked, that means I was making 66bb/100 over 4k ish hands.
Call bullshit if you like, but a couple players on that site loved to give away stacks. On a typical 4 tables I would break even on 1, make a decent win-rate (5-10bb/100) on 2 and be +2 buyins on the fourth.
Sustainable? I have no idea.
{EDIT: I'm going to pull my guess back to 50bb/100. It's not PT supported and I didn't have tracking software at the time anyway}
I run 7.5PTBB/100 at $50NL after 26k hands. Getting ready to move up soon....just working on my pf raising and post flop play for a bit and then I'm gonna move to $100nl. At $25NL I was 11PTBB/100, 27k hands. I don't think either of these are the best possible, but I would guess that they are certainly better than average.
"7.5PTBB/100" I'm new to poker, and all this lingo is getting me confused. How is your winrate calculated?what does PTBB mean? how much PBTB/100 is a decent winrate?

PT is Poker Tracker. It is a software program that tracks your play and auto calculates any stat you would want to have. One of them is winrate, which is expressed in BB/100. When people quote their winrate, it is usually from PT, which translates to Poker Tracker Big Bets per 100 hands. A big bet is twice the big blind, therefore at $50nl, 7.5PTBB/100 means I win $7.5 per 100 hands on average. PTBB/100 and BB/100 usually mean the same thing when posted here. bb/100 usually means big blinds per 100, however.Quote:

The best players IMO are the GOOD super loose aggressives. Anyone can limp into a pot at anytime and push all in on the flop.
The best possible winrate depends on the # of hands played and the limits. Most FTR players could rake in 100BB/100 hands @ 1 cent 2 cent. @ 10,000NL, a good winrate would probably be 2bb/100.
