Philzflop is a calling station, and goes in with any two cards.. but yea can you critique my playing please.. i seem to have alot of problem with beats like these redroof is also a calling station and was not showing any aggression so i didnt put him on a set

What is DTFH?
Don't worry about the set without him raising. He saved you money.
This is a obvious example of being results oriented, instead of considering what your best play was.
You played this hand perfectly. The fact that you were third doesn't matter.

sorry i'll convert next time, and thannks.. yeah the only reason i was caring so much about results that time was because the guy was totally owning me and hes a calling station.. but thanks for reassuring me of my play

Post flop you were fine, but preflop was horrible ... you gotta fold that Ace rag offsuit. With a suited A, the more people in preflop, the better your hand is because of the dead money that makes the flush draws profitable. It's the opposite with the offsuit ace. The more people in, the greater the chance someone has you dominated with an A with a bigger kicker. Even when you flop 2pair, a higher 2pair, or a paired board counterfeiting your 2nd pair will happen quite often. The only time I'll play A3o at a full table is if I can check the BB, or if I am folded to in the SB (or if the SB is checked to and raises then its reraise and play aggressive.)

I agree post flop play is good but yeah i have to agree with Xanadu playing A3o is not a good idea with a full table i hate Ax where x is an unsuited rag, it just loses you money over the long run when an ace hits the board and people start calling raises you know your probably beat, shorthanded games say 6max it is ok.
As for the post flop play this hand you probably know one of the players was drawing to a flush which was my first reaction this is great let them pay to draw like you did, they got lucky 66% of the time the third flush card wont come. As for the player with a legitamate hand the set well S£$% happens.

Fold preflop and save yourself a world of pain

I agree with the others who said to fold preflop, however you did not, so...
The only thing I see that could probably been improved would be the strength of the betting. I would have raised to pot-size and made the flush draw pay big to stay in. Keeping a consistent strong line of betting might even have pushed out the trips fearing a higher set or the flush from you.

But either way, I wouldn't have carried A3o past the pre-flop betting.
