Really? Did you just post a bad beat in strategy forum?
  3. #3
Unless its runner runner with only two possible cards, it's not a bad beat.

Sorry, is there a bad beat thread somewhere on this site? I should post there instead - please excuse my noobishness.

Do you really think with the 10'sof millions of hands played by people on this site at every stake imaginable that we need to see your bad beat?

Max steinberg, a mod and member here just took the biggest beat anyone can take, losing a 94% two outer for a world series of poker bracelet and didn't post about it, in fact he laughed about it during his interview. He lost over 100K on that hand alone.

Ok sorry, I'm not crying about the hand, I was quite bemused about it really just because it doesn't happen that often that the underset will win (4.34%) but yes, I definitely posted in the wrong forum.

Moved because I couldn't bare to look at this in the strategy forum.

rabbie - if you run this hand 20 times, he has 4%, and he wins 1/20, is the one time he wins a bad beat or not?
  11. #11
I think given his odds of winning he is very lucky to get there, like I said I am not crying about the hand; I posted it because it's never happened to me before but I do understand that it does happen, can happen and the odds against it happening are not astronomically vast. Because the other guy actually has a very strong hand which he is playing correctly actually you are right: it is not a bad beat - I see it now. Thank you for moving the post and for provoking me to think about what I am saying.

If this kind of thing has never happened to you before you aren't playing enough. This falls into the shit happens category. It's a cooler.

Now you are faced with a decision though. You can make use of your time on this site by posting hands you feel you could have played better and have legit questions about or you can continue to focus on trivial hands such as this.

Yes it is quite banal, been beaten by quads before but not in this specific situation but since this is in the wins and fails section wtf are you talking about? The problem is I am a winning player and I play all my hands perfectly so I cannot post any hands I could have played better. In fact I really am just wasting my time posting on this forum and this site and wasting the time of all you comic book store owners too, please forgive my imbecility - I am thoroughly ashamed of myself and will do 500 press ups as a penance, I really am very, very, sorry, please, please forgive me Yeah, shit happens - this is not a beat, not in the least: it is perfectly normal for this to happen, it happens every time one plays and you are right I should shut my stupid mouth. I am no longer prepared to listen to and kowtow to the claptrap of a bunch of total losers, sorry. And I apologize most sincerely to everyone who has had the misfortune to read my previous grievously mis-informed and ill advised postings - forums are for wanks who can't play poker, bye bye you horrible patronizing pedantic cuntz.

lol, I wasn't trying to patronize you I was trying to point out that this isn't the way to get better at poker. But since you are obv perfect I'll ignore anything you post from here on out and hope the rest of the community does too.

Just as a complete aside, given it sounds like this did start in a strat forum.

I think flop sizing is too big with this particular hand, and in position.
