Default A near win by an obv. fail :P

"I will say though, that judging by the registration dates and the post counts in this thread, there is a reason you guys needs a free $2 ticket. You would be playing far higher stakes and have moved well into a better poker stratosphere by spending more time posting on FTR and the strat forums"

From a bankroll of zero on Carbon, I took my 1x $2 ticket (generously given to me by FTR) to the $2 EarlyBird deepstack on Carbon (freak'n 4hr. late reg... wtf is that?).
Managed to take 4th of 206 entrants boosting the bankroll by nearly 15x
Although I don't post much in strat. & did 'need' the ticket (sign-up 2008... sighs shamefully).. I did read the sticky sections when I first joined up & actually read some of them over & over (even printed some of them off into duotangs for more reading). Those stickied threads helped me out immensely in my first year playing online.

woot woot!! Thanks FTR!! Once again have a puney micro bankroll on Carbon & don't need to uninstall it anymore.

    thanks.

Yah, the 4hr. late reg. thing is terrible. I was actually considering playing one of those OPS tourneys this evening (at same time as some other stuff I'm playing) but then looked to see that the Stud Hi/Lo tourney actually has a 3hr. late reg. That's f'n terrible! Keeps recreational fish like me away from their tourneys.

Nice job multiplying your FTR ticket into some bankroll, Poker Orifice. I too, dislike some of those several hours long late registration tournaments. The unlimited re-entry tournaments rank right up there in tourneys I do not prefer. Turned my $2 FTR ticket into $4. Thinking about my next plan of $4 Carbon action. Thank you FlopTurnRiver for helping forum members increase their bankrolls in numerous ways.

Just bumped that $2 ticket to up over $200 now on Carbon... have played <10games so far.

Thanks again FTR! Looks like I now have another workable bankroll.

Played a few of the min. requirements to the DailyMission $500 freerolls. Have played a few of them with one small cash. Tonight I was playing in another (while playing some other stuff on other sites at same time) & pulled off another near win ... 2nd for $67.50
Was actually down to 1.2 bb's in the BB with 93o with 28 players left.

Up to $285 on there now

Thanks again FTR! (I have more on Carbon then the sites I actually play on, lol)

Played two more tourneys ($ buyins) with 2 more cashes. Can't remember exactly when but I picked up an $11 token this month, used it today for the BigEarly$11 & managed to final table but went out in 9th.
.... roll is closing in on $400 (from the FTR $2 ticket). Might have to set a goal now.
tks again FTR! This is gonna be some grocery money pretty soon.

Oops. I just realized where I picked up the $11 ticket. It was from the FTR $0.11 buyin priv. tourney a few weeks ago.
Anyways, put it to good use too!
