This guy timed down to his last micro second on the river. Buddy, if you call preflop and the flop hoping to hit your miracle ace, you better be wanting to get it in on the river.

a little bonus from the WSOP ME

On a board of 4d5d6h , Phil Hellmuth was involved in a three-way pot with Felix Osterland and Barry Leventhal. Hellmuth checked from middle position and Leventhal moved all in for 399,000.

Leventhal said, "If I lose, I'm gonna go to the buffet."

There was some additional chit-chat but Osterland eventually folded and the action was on Phil Hellmuth.

"I know you got something," said Hellmuth.

"I got a bluff," replied Leventhal.

After some additonal back-and-forth between the two men, Hellmuth eventually folded Qd7d face up.

"Wow! How can you fold that?" asked David Saab from a nearby table.

The table encouraged Leventhal to show but he eventually mucked face down.

These hands confuse me a lot. Was he betting the turn small to induce because he though T8o was the nuts? I always thought they did this because they were afraid to put a lot of money in. This was also the first hand he raised preflop in like 80 hands. Why T8o? Why do you do these things weird little fish?

Lol, took me a while to work out the bad part of that hand.

I had this discussion with a guy the other day and he didnt believe me. A lot of guys who chase baby flushes are too scared to bet them when they hit incase they're behind. Of course in that case they should only play for pot odds, not implied odds, but then if they could think that clearly they wouldnt be chasing flushes when they're scared they'll be behind in the first place.

I think you're right about that. For some reason it just aggravates me when someone runs me down with some draw when I have a legit hand, and then they refuse to bet it after they hit. If you're going to chase, damn it, do it right!

I'm in awe of CO in that hand. Min-raise after a limper with 68o; weak bet and then just calls a small raise when he hits the miracle nuts, on a flush draw board... good jorb, CO, you've made me want to accelerate to 200 NL as quick as I can!
