This hand is only funny for its history. Opposition only bets a big hand. Opposition only raises monsters. Hence, turn minraise was a set almost always. I knew he couldn't lay it down on the river.

Me and opp have a history - we were heads up when the table just opened up, and I lost a stack and a half to him in ways I don't wish to discuss. I wanted some of my moneys back, and he was a PURE donkey, so I was jumping into many pots he seemed to be interested in. Then this hand happened:

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

    SB ($9)
    BB ($41)

    MP1 ($48.30)
    Hero ($24.10)
    MP3 ($3.15)
    CO ($25)
    Button ($15.20)

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with , .
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 raises to $0.5, Hero calls $0.50, 3 folds, BB calls $0.25, UTG calls $0.25.

    Flop: ($2.10) , , (5 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets $2.1, Hero calls $2.10, BB folds, UTG folds.

    Turn: ($6.30) (3 players)
    MP1 bets $2, Hero raises to $9, MP1 calls $7.

    River: ($24.30) (3 players)
    MP1 bets $8.75, Hero raises to $12.5 (All-In), MP1 calls $3.75.

    Final Pot: $49.30

    Results:
MP1 has 7h Kd (one pair, jacks).
Hero has Th Jd (three of a kind, jacks).
CO has (three of a kind, jacks).
    Outcome: Hero wins $49.30.

Yes yes, I suppose he DID have the gutshot draw on the turn, which is why I suppose he stayed in. But of course that would give me a full house, so actually on the flop he's drawing to running K's.

These three hands tilted me like no other last night. These were way worse than getting overboated on the river, or having KK v AA twice. Guy in 2nd and 3rd hands was the biggest donk ever, and playing like this and running like god is how he got his stack.

I just never get tired of this:

Included in Rooney's resume besides those killer stats is cold calling 4-bets OOP, betting $1 into the flop to fold when raised.

I see stupid things every time I play nowadays, with the explosion of poker it seems like the European countries have been watching Gus Hansen too much and instead of thinking of Poker as a skilled games with odds and percentage...they treat it more like Bingo Some of the beats are absolutely disgusting...but in the long run its great for profitabilty.

He claimed it was a misclick. Sure buddy, you went to click on the fold button but in the process of doing so you accidently slid the bet to $60 and hit the raise button. Happens to the best of 'em.

This doesn't compare with some of the above hands but i thought this was an odd way to play a set. Not once does auntd bet enough to protect against any possible str8 draws. Also i'm not sure what the point of the river min bet was. This happens a lot at 2nl. People are so terrified of looseing callers that they make tiny little bets giving their enemies odds to suck out on them.

I know he it would be cooler if he had but more but still, that was for half his stack pretty much. Even for that little money, it just blew my mind how dumb it was.

So I've had a pretty bad week in terms of how I've been running. Went on a 4bi downer, which is MASSIVE for me. Not saying I'm good, you've seen my competition.

Anyway, I'm having a good session, up about 3 buy-ins and was thinking it was a pretty good day after the last few. But then I think, "It would be nice to have about $200 more before I quit." Then no longer after that thought enters my head does this deep stacked buddy of mine make himself known. Somehow I hadn't noticed him yet. There was a huge fish between us earlier that I was focusing on.

Anyway, he snap called on the river. And I mean fucking SNAP called! Like Hellmuth's beating you into the pot with his chips style. It was so fast, before the cards were turned over, I actually thought fuck was there a straight flush on board that I missed??

Some tagfish. Not sure if he's a reg or not, but he plays the role with the auto-reloading after any pot and stats that seem to suggest he knows what he's doing. For some reason he made it his mission to defend his blinds against me with a call and donk bet. We had done this a couple times and now he decided to take a stand with this monster I guess...

I guess I can add to this topic tonight. A series of hands with a small story.

I sit down at an average 5nl table and there's a chatty guy sitting about 240bb deep (I normally am not a fan of deepstacking 5nl, but this story makes me ambivalent about it). I'm dealt AK and hit my ace, so I just play it hard getting it in on the river and he folds. Then this hand comes (note the chat, he's our chatty guy):

    $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem
    8 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    Hero ($8.02)
    UTG+1 ($1.78)
    MP1 ($4.77)
    MP2 ($9.81)
    CO ($1.90)
    BTN ($5.92)
    SB ($10.61)
    BB ($5.21)

    Pre-flop: ($0.07, 8 players) Hero is UTG
SB says "you have zip stats zx", SB says "must be new here", Hero raises to $0.2, 5 folds, SB calls $0.18, BB calls $0.15

    Flop: ($0.6, 3 players)
SB says "that guarantess a suckoutneannabe", SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.4, SB calls $0.4, BB calls $0.4

    Turn: ($1.8, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.3, SB calls $1.3, BB calls $1.3

    River: ($5.7, 3 players)
SB bets $3.35, BB goes all-in $3.31, SB says "fold", Hero folds, SB says "lol 96"

    Final Pot: $12.32
    SB shows:
    BB shows:

    SB wins $0.04 ( lost -$5.21 )
    BB wins $11.72 ( won +$6.51 )
    Hero lost -$1.90

Hard to say what's funnier, that he played the hand like that, or that he laughed at the other guy for playing the same way. Remember SB as Donk #1 and BB as Donk #2.

Few hands later I'm on a bit of a heater and this hand occurs tangling with Donk #2:

    $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem

    Stacks:
    UTG ($11.16)
    UTG+1 ($10.36)

    MP2 ($3.57)
    Hero ($5.98)
    CO ($1.96)
    BTN ($4.52)
    SB ($9.69)
    BB ($10.83)

    Pre-flop: ($0.07, 9 players) Hero is MP3
    2 folds, MP1 calls $0.05, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.25, 4 folds, MP1 calls $0.2

    Flop: ($0.57, 2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets $0.4, MP1 calls $0.4

    Turn: ($1.37, 2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets $1, MP1 calls $1

    River: ($3.37, 2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets $2, MP1 calls $2

    Final Pot: $7.37
    MP1 shows:
    Hero shows:

    Hero wins $7.02 ( won +$3.37 )
    MP1 lost -$3.65

In all, not a spectacular hand, but he obviously didn't consider what I could be playing at him with. The interesting part is that right after this hand, Donk #1 says something like, "you should be glad i folded, I woulda had 2p." and I can't help but respond, "I'm never happy when you fold." I guess that tilted him or something, because 2 or 3 hands later, this happens:

    Fun hand from earlier today:

Turn minraise just to see wtf he would do b/c I had no idea what he could possibly have since I had the deck stacked. Always happy to get it AI when your opp is drawing dead (especially when he doesn't know it & thinks he has outs).
