I can mod one if there's appetite for another.

As for the game. D1 was bad, we took too much heat early. And Benny, you seemed to be the least likely one that we could convince the rest of the village to lynch so that's why we targeted you. On D2 I knew there was a risk spacecamp was a special but I reckoned it was the best play to target him. Then him outing as the JK really threw a wrench in everything. Still if baud had been around to drop the hammer when spacecamp was L-1 we would have had a chance. Or if the counter-claim had worked. By the end of D2 there was a mechanical way to out me and prevent me from nomming, that's why I threw in the towel.

    TY for the PM's ong.

It was pretty funny getting PM's from a vanilla villager at night requesting power roles that do not exist in this game.
I wont spoil any specifics from a PM, but ong can if he wants to.
You can find any pattern you want to any level of precision you want, if you're prepared to ignore enough data.

    Why poop?

And wouldn't a plastic baggie be more effective of removal than a gun?

You're lucky because my d3 plan was to convince everyone you were the other wolf before Jack got outted and confessed.

Oh and gj almost getting our JK speed-lynched.

OK, Poop. I'd have liked to see that.

I rather doubt you'd have gotten traction from Luco, Spacecamp, or Monstrman after the way D2 ended.

Read that conversation between ong and Spacecamp at the end of D2.
Tell me if you seriously think a wolf was acting in their own best interest to take the tack that ong took.
Specifically, "We need to know who you target tonight because if you die, that gives us a lock villager in the morning." was about the most openly pro-village thing I've ever seen ong do.

ong tends to be more subtle and shady about showing his V-colors. He's more aware of V-W balance than most players, IMO. That move at the end of D2 is something I seriously doubt is in his wolf-range. That said, no one has made me feel like an idiot tool in WW more than ong. So grain of salt on my analysis on him.

Yeah that was a joke too. Doesn't anyone know when I'm joking?

After baud (who I had a strong feeling about), I didn't really know who else it could be. I just said Ong to wind him up mostly. The only thing that made me suspicious of Ong was how keen he seemed to be to put the knife in Spacecamp, who I thought had done nothing to deserve it. So almost getting our JK lynched. Luckily baud wasn't around to put the final nail in before things cooled off.

What, like saying that making excuses to not be around is a wolf tell of mine, and then telling the village as a villager that I'm going to work for the day?

If Jack wasn't a wolf, I was actually pretty easy to build a case on as baudib's partner. The question as to whether I could be so pro-village as a wolf there would be subject of debate. Honestly, idk. So long as it wasn't outright losing for us, I'd probably suggest it because I like village cred. But if it's a losing strategy, then it would be suicide.

You failed to wind me up.

Did you read the den? baudib said he liked our dynamic and thought we'd throw shit at each other. I did very well to quickly read you as villager and mostly ignore you.

FWIW if we had gotten Spaceman lynched D2 then my intention was to nom Poop N2. Least likely to get any lynch traction on.

If that lynch went through we would have lost. This was a very close game

Almost forgot... D1 jack was a fun ride.
The village had him at L-1 near EOD. Then he talked himself out of it with something like, "Sorry. Out of practice." and lead the village in the CFD on oskar.

My gut says that's a bad call on the village, but it worked out this time. Am I completely wrong, or is it just that the D1 vote doesn't matter until D3? I mean... you vote with no info on D1, but on D3, you have fewer remaining players and you can start to piece together something sensible about who voted how over the first 2 days.

Ok call because it was clear what happened in retrospect. That's all you can hope for D1. Jack's defense was totally appropriate and understandable given his long layoff. He did well there.

I'm all good with jack's defense. I'm thinking along more of a GTO type of reasoning on the village.

Taking all the specifics out of it,
On D1, near EOD, there was someone at L-1.
They posted a defense and put a vote somewhere.
The rest of the village follows that lead.

It seems dangerous to trust someone who was so distrusted just moments ago.
BUT, the village has no evidence at all yet as to who to trust or who to distrust, so it's perhaps a moot point.
AND, on D3 when you can look back, assuming that player is still alive (more likely if they are a W), you have a lot of info to read about them.

    so maybe its moot.

From a GTO perspective, lynching jack on d1 is terrible. Unless he's a wolf, of course.

He wasn't necessarily being trusted. I wanted the Oskar lynch with an hour left. He gave me what I wanted.

I have always believed village roleblock roles are hyper OP endgame btw, so I agree that this game was village sided tbh
  24. #699
Tracker + two shot doctor would be more balanced imo
  25. #700
Village doesn't really need anything out of the doc role except the claim

And then it allows for hero saves

Maybe even give the wolves a 1shot rb themselves
  26. #701
Like the thing about roleblocks is they are a mega cop that also blocks nks
  27. #702
Whoops sorry, only just got the PM that the game started.

Ahhhhhh, damn I miss this game and miss you guys. My takeaways after perusing the thread are as follows:

Midway through Day 1 I had JV, Baud, and Luco as my top three pics. Pretty much stayed on Baud but JV started changing my mind which reminded me why he is such a good wolf and villager. Town got lucky with a newbie who didn't know that Jack, as a villager, can sound wolfish as hell and was able to keep the heat on.

Ong is still the funniest villager of all time.

I'm honored to be mentioned three times during the game, even though I haven't played in years.

and finally, when is the next game?
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.
