 Vikings, Gods and Giants Game thread
The Twilight of the Gods will happen like this. There will be three years of terrible winters, and summers of black sunlight. People will lose all hope and surrender to greed, incest, and civil war. Midgardsormen, the world’s serpent, will come lunging from the ocean, dragging the tides in and flooding the world. The wolf, giant Fenrir, will break his invisible chains. The skies will open, and Surt, the fire giant, will come flaming across the bridge to destroy the gods. Odin will come riding out of the gates of Valhalla to do battle for the last time against the wolf. Thor will kill the serpent but die from its venom. Surt will spread fire across the earth. At last, Fenrir will swallow the sun.

Factions
There are 3 teams in this game. The Vikings (villagers), who may receive aid and guidance from the gods or Aesir. The Frost Giants (wolves), and a neutral party (Loki). Vikings are unknown to each other; Frost Giants are the informed minority; Loki has special abilities that may give him information as the game progresses.
Roles:

Variable seer (Odin)
On night 0, the seer will receive a randomized affiliation peek of a villager. Every odd night thereafter, the seer will get a role peek of a player of his choosing (vanilla, vig, etc). Every even night thereafter, he will get an affiliation peek (wolf, villager) of a player of his choosing.
Vigilante (Thor)
The vigilante may target one player for death every night. He will have a base 50% chance of hitting his target. This percentage may be increased or decreased due to actions of other characters.
Serial killer (Loki)
There is a neutral serial killer in the game (Loki)
On night 0, you get a true affiliation peek. On each night thereafter, you may choose to be vig or bulletproof.
You appear to be vanilla villager to any seer.
Your win conditions are as follows:
As a neutral, you share the win if you are alive when the wolves achieve parity or if all wolves are eliminated. You will be the sole winner of the game if you reach a final 3 with 1 villager and 1 wolf.
You may choose to side with either the wolves or the villagers before start of day 3 as long as 1 wolf and 2 villagers are dead, but you will then become vanilla!

Other powers
Certain characters will have the ability to perform the following tasks or may earn the ability to perform these tasks:
Angel -- Angel abilities last for one day/night cycle. That is, the player with this ability may choose a target to protect, and that player's chance of dying from a lethal action (vig or night kill) is decreased by 50% for an entire cycle -- the protection does not wear off until start of the next day. The target may be chosen at any time, but a target chosen at night will not be protected once day breaks.
Targeter -- May choose 2 targets per cycle who will suffer a 50% increased chance of dying. For example, if the targeter and vig both choose Player A, that player will then have a 100% chance of dying, barring any angel actions.
Tracker -- can learn the target of a single player
Roleblocker -- blocks a single player
Triple voter -- Player's vote will count triple for 1 game day.
Day vig -- Can shoot 1 player during the day phase.

Claiming names or roles
Every player in the game has a name, even vanilla roles. You may claim your name but Frost Giants will be given characters to claim as well. Characters that you expect to be in the game may be given to the Giants as safe claims.
IMPORTANT
There are anti-claiming mechanisms in the game. Power characters, claim your name or role at your own risk! There may be an adversary that is looking for you!

MODKILLS
The goal will be to not modkill anyone. Anyone who is extremely inactive for more than 1 day period may be subbed out.
Do not talk about the game outside the game thread and do not talk about Mod decisions.

Days/nights
Days will last 36 hours, except for Day 1. Nights will last 12 hours, unless the wolves decide to end the night early. There will be no talking at night.
