I would not be opposed to this if there is a consensus. However I am unsure how easy this would be to set up with Carbon.

kinda fits with the killing others off theme of werewolf .....oh and huber ...as game mod you should also get to play in it as well, i don't care if FTR admins say that you are staff and shouldn't get to profit , you are a vital part of the game and as such you should get the chance to play in the freeroll.

I like keith's idea but it will only work if we know everyone is going to take part.

I have shipped an email to see if it is possible to set up a "bounty" style tournament described above. Will update once I get a response.

I'll play in the freeroll if I get to choose someone's FTR avatar for a 24-hour period after I bink it. Perhaps we could make that some sort of prop-bet for whoever wins.

The problem with a bounty format is that either...

    a) people not taking part will sit out, blind out, and then for their last hand the value will be skewed because there's a bounty on the bb,

    or

    b) if we issue tickets, then for every person that doesn't take part, the bounty or prize pool will need to increase, or there will be cash left over.

If we can work something out, then that's great.

Personally prefer standard format but don't mind being over-ruled - will be fun regardless.
  11. #11
I just spew too much in bounties but they're fun. i don't really care. doubtful i'll get to play and if i do win i'll donate it to charity (by charity i mean ur mom).

I find it harder to motivate myself to grind these days. Poker isn't fun anymore, it's like a boring job with shitty pay. I'd probably enjoy it a lot more if I could actually turn over a decent winrate.

It's a little premature to say this but I feel like I will always want to play poker. I'm pretty obsessive about things, and when I find new hobbies I dive right in, but I lose interest eventually...for example I have encyclopedic knowledge of baseball history but over the past 5-10 years my interest has faded to almost zero, being replaced by poker.

Earlier this year I started trading stocks and would spend like 10 hours a day reading articles or studies about the market and during that time, I stopped playing poker totally. It was like poker/stock market occupied a specific part of my brain and I can't handle thinking about both over the same time period.

Ong, I always thought your strat posts displayed good thought process. Don't give up on it. I'm probably twice your age roughly and I feel like I'm still learning. Do you play live poker?

Feel the same, even if poker blows sometimes.

No problem. I'm more than happy to set this up.

FWIW, I think I learned tons more from modding the last match that I did from playing in my first one.

I'm looking forward to the next match modded by baudib.

You should be able to play in browser with "instant play".

I'm definitely out, tried again to register but still no option for UK residents.

53hh. it's a baddish play by me but it's an ICM disaster for you to call there with AK when the absent player has 1 BB left.
  63. #63
I reg'd but couldn't play due to last minute thing. How did only 4 players reg? We'll never be doing this again I'm sure

    Nice take down, baudib!
