I'm pretty sold on Rong as well, but not as confident anymore on Wuf. The "lynch me or look me up" hard line he took on Day 1 would be a pretty ballsy (and FPS) type of play for a wolf on day 1.

Fair enough. I felt like rong>bikes for wolf probability but given that bikes was my second or third choice, and the direction the village is going I'm very comfortable with a bikes lynch. Plus the value in lynching a wolf that has been less active probably does have more value. So if the probabilities run close, a bikes lynch makes more sense. |

I was thinking about this and I think if bikes flips village, keith and gator have to be wolves. Keiths justification post looked a lot like dribble. I'd put either gabe wuf as the third wolf.

Everyone in the dead thread picked Gabe as wolf long before me. However, I had Rong as a villager and they all convinced me otherwise. I was SURE that there was wolf-on-wolf bolding/arguing going on.

The wolves picked up Ong's crumb right away and the village didn't...wait till Ong reads the wolfden! That may have been the real turning point of the game. The wolves exploited Keith's fake read of Ong's lookup for at least 3 extra kills.

Going through the dead thread: not a fan of that crumb for the Ong lookup. Signals are caught by wolves really well but they are also confusing for the village. The kind of thing to do is something that can't be seen until after death. If you look up a wolf, all you really have to do is try to get him lynched and try to come up with legit reasons why. After you die, the village will know that player has to die. If you look up a villager, just say you think that player is a villager in a more clear way than you say about anybody else. These are things that vanillas do all the time and wolves can't use to try to find the seer, but after the seer dies they're easy ways to make the lookups clear |

FWIW I submitted a list of early D1 picks to Dhuber and I was wrong on all the wolves obviously. I did pick Rong for special and Ong as the seer.

O.o You said I got coaching, and I pretty respectfully said I disagree - and suddenly it's "dude I owned you..."?? Ok. That's fine I guess. I wasn't picking a fight in the slightest. Feel like you're reading into my words too much - given how you said I went noob-nuclear before and now you're acting like I was really rude or something just now. |

As for why I didn't look for Ong's crumb, I assumed Ong wouldn't leave one like that since the wolves will almost always find it. I thought that he would think outing is better than leaving a crumb since, well, leaving a crumb is basically outing to the wolfden |

Finished the dead thread. Don't worry guys, I'm used to everybody saying how badly I play. It must be very frustrating to play with me since I'm quite aggressive and finger-pointy. A big reason I do it is because it keeps me alive since the village always thinks I'm just a mislead villager and the wolves think I'm a liability |

Heh I got the gist regardless But probz a good analogy. I had the easiest spot in this game. Wolf with 2 really experienced, strong players, and I could hide amongst other noobs as well. |

We were unnecessarily mean to a lot of players in the dead thread. lol. 5 dead villagers, with a lot more info than the rest of the village...knowing Keith was a wolf meant we knew we were in serious trouble unless a few miracles happened. I think most of our thread-the-needle scenarios involved impossible things, like Gator figuring out Rong was a wolf, or Gabe being a villager and keeping secrets to himself in order to own the wolves in the end game.

We've all done it. I think it's really easy to think people are wrong and dumb when you think you're right and smart. These games are usually so whack that everybody ends up being really wrong about a lot of things. A big part of the game is arguing about logic. It's one person saying another person's logic is stupid and that person saying the same of the other. After everybody does this a million times, if they got luck on their side and have been sufficiently boxing the wolves into a corner, they can win. |
