Your quitting attitude almost ruined two games in a row for me. Thanks for that.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

true, and a good example of how bias informs perspective so much. i did ask myself that question, but the answer was the wrong one.

not only did i not quit in either game, but nothing i did came close to ruining a game for you.

Meh, your impatience this game obviously played a factor, you said it yourself. The village playing badly at the beginning of the game was also a factor in a shit bold.

Last game, all you did was whine in the den about us "never winning" and even proposed a forfeit. I never said you ruined a game, there was an almost in there.

i dont think it played a factor in a shit bold. i think it played a factor in that shit bold coming earlier than later. this is debatable, but what i dont think is debatable is that my logic for the "shit bold" had nothing to do with quitting or emotion.

like i told you, the "propose a forfeit" was something i said to relieve frustration at the moment of my lynch. the "never winning" was a part of me trying to convince a different strategic approach. and some letting off steam.

color me extremely surprised we won that game. i really did think we would never win with the strategy we employed.

you and daven certainly deserve all the props for winning that game. i think i helped in like 3 subtle ways, but that's it.

We should just be lynching people for role-indicative things.

wuf you are good at picking out a logical inconsistency but your mistake is only focusing on that one aspect. you have to try to think of as many motivations as you can and then make your best move

"for example, i think that when mmm is a wolf, the wolves have to nom me because it is not reasonable for them to think that mmm will survive again given everything i did on d2"

i think its reasonable, because the game is not focused around you. there are competing viewpoints (in this case, we didnt think your d2 words meant mmm would not survive)

i think i typed up more about that but deleted it. the way i worded what you quoted certainly makes it sound like that was my only consideration.

here's a longer, but still simplistic, version of the analysis: boog was the most likely mislynch with luco secondary. luco was the most likely defender of mmm. me and boog were the most likely attackers of mmm. nobody could be that sure of rascal except that he would probably fall on lynching boog.

so nomming rascal puts mmm as the most likely lynch. nomming boog puts mmm at a flip at best. nomming luco puts mmm back as the most likely lynch. nomming me removes mmm from the hot seat.

it's this entire dynamic i was referring to, not just something having to do with me.

but you are definitely right in that my analysis focuses too much on myself. not entirely in how i think others view me, but in that i assume others use similar logic to what i do.

duly noted. it's hard to get out of your head.

I mean the next time someone says "_____ is a villager, because hes putting so much effort into the game", I'm going to lose my shit

Heh. I was guilty of that in my Rascal suspicions. Gabe echoing me didn't help. Will keep in mind.

hmmm. i think my "solvey" perspective is legit. i mean, i only gave two players roles based on solvey this game: mmm and boog. both were right. i just decided to ignore that for nom-analytics heroics.

but yeah, putting effort in isn't role indicative. the type of effort is, i think. or more like the content of the effort.

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to be more active this game, but IRL stuff came up that almost made me have to sub out for the game.

Just in case anyone is curious at f5, there were only 2 people that I wasn't going to vote for and that was Wuf and MMM in that order. Boog and Gabe were my most likely wolf candidates. If I would have made it to f3, then it would have been a total reevaluation, so I'm not sure what I would have done.

GG all, and congrats to the wolves, you played great imo.
I may grow old, but I refuse to grow up.

I found this game ok because I came off the gas a bit, but the game before this one was really hard going for both keybored and I

The winners of the last game feel the same way.

the funny thing is that losing this game has plugged possibly the biggest hole in my game: trying to interpret wolf strategy.

if i hadnt done that, and instead just stuck with who be wolfing in thread, it could have gone so much differently.

dont blame boog, he did get his bold right. blame me overthinking it.

fwiw i dont think you did much bad here. i thought you were actually the villiest looking player. my bold on you had nothing to do with who looked wolf and who looked vil. it was purely interpreting the nom to mean the wolves were trying to maximize the probability of mmm being lynched. i now know that was bad strategy.

I thought I looked really villagery after that D1 brain fart. Gabe provided the best argument why, actually. That said, rong didn't think I was vill and his coming out of the woodwork to explain how he thought I was a wolf hurt us.
