    Default Wasn't aggressive enough?

    The board flops 3 spades, so I take caution and this is how the hand evolves, what is your play, am I not aggressive enough?

    If my math is right the pot has about 700 by the flop. I woulda bet 450-500 there, but there's a good argument for betting the pot or even a little more to make any draws really pay.

    If I got called on my flop bet... By the turn the pot would now have ~1700. And I'd bet 1200-1500.

    How much is the pot on the river?

    Your play of the game needed to take place on the turn. You know your opponent has AT LEAST 1 spade and you do not want them to take the draw.

    Why would you not bet out your opponment when you want them to fold?
    I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

    Again I was on the side of caution believing he may of had the flush already and was letting me bet into him by his actions, I didn't totally want to give the pot up and just check, but at the same time I didnt' want to get overly aggressive and have him show me the flush.

    I was trying to find that middle ground, when in hindsight I should of been more of the aggressor, I digress, poker is all about learning.

    Edit: I had to come back to this, because now that I think about it if he had the flush already I think he would of reraised me either on the flop or definitely the turn but he flat called me, which most of the indicates someone drawing to a hand! Dur, ok I realized I didn't think this play through enough while I was in the hand.

    Exactly. A bigger raise on the turn would take down the pot enough times to be very +EV.

    A suited flop is very scary looking. But in holdem, it's not actually THAT scary!

    <no groupthink>

    I say fold here. Everyone knows he has a flush and you didn't fill.

    edit: I can definitely check this flop, I don't need this pot.
