Why would you not bet out your opponment when you want them to fold?
Again I was on the side of caution believing he may of had the flush already and was letting me bet into him by his actions, I didn't totally want to give the pot up and just check, but at the same time I didnt' want to get overly aggressive and have him show me the flush.
I was trying to find that middle ground, when in hindsight I should of been more of the aggressor, I digress, poker is all about learning.
Edit: I had to come back to this, because now that I think about it if he had the flush already I think he would of reraised me either on the flop or definitely the turn but he flat called me, which most of the indicates someone drawing to a hand! Dur, ok I realized I didn't think this play through enough while I was in the hand.
