Well yeah I know what I should have done earlier in the hand, my point mainly was to ask what to do AFTER you've put half of your stack on the table for no reason. :P Do we go broke trusting our instincts or salvage what we can?
I felt like I had a strong read and thought I was ahead, but in the midst of this madness decided to back down.
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with T, A.
UTG folds, Hero raises to $180, MP1 calls $180, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls $180, Button folds, BB folds.
Flop: ($630) 8, A, 2 (4 players)
Hero bets $300, MP1 folds, CO raises to $660, Hero calls $360.
Turn: ($1950) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, CO calls $1340 (All-In), Hero folds.
River: ($3290) T (2 players, 1 all-in)
Final Pot: $3290
Main Pot: $3290 ($3290), returned to CO.
Results:
CO has 7 7 (one pair, sevens).
SB has K K (one pair, kings).
Outcome: CO wins $3290.
Crazy tourney altogether, I busted out on 5th place with the SB as the chip leader.
