I would check. There are few hands that will call that you are beating, just Ksx, Jsx and maybe pocket pairs, especially if they contain one spade. I can't see a bet folding any hands that are beating yours. Plus, there are virtually no bad turn cards for you - just the Kh, Kd, Kc.

I'd go ahead and bet although it's close enough not to be bad either way I think.

KQ/QJ etc are less likely. So it will be hard for him to make a good second pair hand, mostly just JT/T9.

when you check back he'll bet the turn with Ax a lot and then ?? other stuff and you'll have to call and then be in a bad spot on most rivers.

hitting a spade is much better if you've bet the flop because the pot will be much bigger and he may have to go for the rest if he happens to have something too.

If he has a pp no spade you checking just gives him a free two outer, if he has a spade he's probably going to peel one.

If he has a mid sc he's hit the board and you want to charge him.

If you had a read he's capable of firing two with worse, or that he'll play his hand face up, then a check back is better for sure.

I think its close, but I would check behind, you want to either improve to a flush/set or to try to get to a relatively cheap showdown at this stage in the Sng

I'd probably check. Only overcard to our queens we are worried about is the king, and the Ks gives us the nuts. If he's in there with a smaller pp with a spade, we might even get paid off a bit if we let him hit the flush too.

I'd bet here with tens, probably jacks as well.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I think betting is slightly better because checking is going to give us more tough decisions. I wouldn't expect to get c-r here on the flop ever.

I like a bet. If we check and the turn comes a non-spade our opponent will fire and we'll be in a really tough spot. A c-r is a set quite a lot on this flop so I don't mind folding to it.

If he flats, we like a lot of turns and if we brick he may still check Ax type hands allowing us to check behind and get to the river.

    Nice to be back

Cheers. Well I got my PhD in Statistics and took a position researching climate change at Durham University, so I've been pretty busy. Had to take out my roll to pay for 2 months between funding finishing and new job starting, and only just managed to put a new deposit together.

Been playing Mtts and 6max on 888 poker last few weeks. I did get married, but no kids yet

    Hows things?

(Oh and sorry for the thread hijack).

I bet here. About 3/4 ($200) to pot-sized bet. If I bet too little MP1 may chase and catch since the blinds are so low. It's too early to know who the donks are. Hope this helps!
