    Default Paying in the money

    Hello again

I've started playing normal Sng now and it's been pretty good. I've noticed a few leaks in my game and that is once I reach the money.
When I get there I always seem to get outplayed, even if I'm the big or medium stack I'm usually the first one to go.

So you more experienced people , what do you do when you reach the money. Tighten up? loosen up ? And would be awesome if someone could explain their heads up strategy , because that's another weak point from my side!

    Thanks in advance

Since you are playing normal SNGs, you are probably getting to 3-handed play fairly deep. Reading between the lines, you are probably also playing too passively if you are being outplayed too often. This might be a variety of reasons, but most likely you are raise-folding too much.

Also there is an important psychological effect that occurs when the bubble bursts. Since people have made the money, they will (correctly) be much more aggressive and call much wider, just something to be aware of.

I haven't really answered your question, but tougher opponents are generally very aggressive and mix in a lot of re-steals 3-handed. This is because a) they know you have a wide opening range 3-handed and b) they can 3-bet shove AI and put the pressure back onto you.

It would help if you could post the end of game in which you felt you were outplayed so members can comment on specific hands and perhaps spots you are missing.

play based on your opponents, play more hands on the button, raise and don't limp, and ALWAYS pay attention to stack sizes. if there are shorties that squeeze into the money, they're usually ready to explode with relief that they made the money and if you're the shortie, be ready to gamboooool it up.
