Default MTTs at Pokerstars Vs. FullTilt

I am starting to play more freezeout MTTs on Pokerstars and was talking to someone who thinks FullTilt is a better site for MTTs. Is anyone here on Fulltilt and would they agree?

    Thanks

Well their MTT structures are similar so I don't think that's an issue. But it's based on personal preference. If you like huge MTT's play Stars. You can get in a $3 MTT with over 2000 people with first place being around 1.5K. If you like smaller MTT's with around 200-400 people then play full tilt. Also the quality of players is a bit higher at Full Tilt so take that into consideration.

I think fulltilt would be a good place to play then. If you mean better players as in they understand what raises mean and don't chase flushes to the river when they get horrible pot odds to call...then I want to play there

Well you'll still see that, just not as much.

I don't think their MTT structures are similar at all. FullTilt has 9 player tables (I don't remember if Poker Stars has 9 or 1). Also the blind increases and starting chip counts are different too.

I have not played that many tourneys on either site - but have final tabled two on FullTilt and none on PokerStars. Maybe I should just stick with FullTilt.

    They were suited!
FullTilt MTT players in my experience are pretty savvy, mixed with some extreme fish. They did a lot of promotion at this year's WSOP and it shows. I would go there, it's where I built my bankroll playing SNG's and MTT's, and if you're good enough to win at Stars, you can win at FullTilt.

Also, I feel less comfortable playing against better players who I know are making reads and playing players and not cards. You'll see a lot of rocks at FullTilt, average one per table in tourneys and 2-3 in NL ring games. If you're good at limit you can try their limit tables, fishy as hell.

All in all, I liked FullTilt because it kept me on edge and out of my comfort zone. Even a $10 SNG wasn't an easy win, so it really improved my game.

They both have 9 players per table. And yes the blind structures are different but they are similar, with Full Tilt having 10 minute levels and PS having 15 minute levels with the difference being Full Tilt has more levels. Full Tilt actually goes up at a slightly slower rate but nothing that's ridiculously different from PokerStars.

    Observe:
On both sites, a normal tournament starts you with 1,500 chips
Beginning of tournament: FT: Blinds 15/30 PS: Blinds 10/20
After 1st break: FT: Blinds 60/120 PS: Blinds 75/150
    After 2nd break: FT: Blinds 250/500 w/ 50 ante PS: Blinds 350/600 w/ 50 ante
    After 3rd break: FT: Blinds 1000/2000 w/ 250 ante PS: Blinds 1000/2000 w/ 100 ante
    After 4th break: FT: Blinds 4000/8000 w/ 1000 ante PS: Blinds 4000/8000 w/ 400 ante
    After 5th break: FT: Blinds 15,000/30,000 w/ 4000 ante PS: Blinds 15,000/30,000 w/ 1500 ante.

So as you can see FT starts off slower than PS but once the antes kick in, FT plays real fast but this is offset by the fact that most of their MTT's don't reach these super fast levels because of the smaller number of players/chips in play. I don't see how you can think these structures aren't at least somewhat similar.

Full Tilt used to be my main site before I switched to PokerStars and I've played plenty of MTT's on both and the structures play quite similarly.

full tilt antes are much bigger, that definitely makes a difference.
