Default May 16th 9:00 ET Carbon $100 Instagram freeroll

I clicked on Tournaments tab, then Special tab in the Carbon poker lobby. This is so crazy. Just saw this out in the Carbon lobby. Qualify for a $100 Instagram freeroll. 'Follow us on Instagram to get the password' is what it says in the Carbon tournament lobby. I do not have an Instagram account yet, but I will be sure to get one by the day of this tourney. Probably just another social media site, like Facebook or Twitter. Sooo annoying, Alibaba.

Instagram is up there with facebook and twitter, really popular now. $100 instagram freeroll probably going to have 1k players, so going to pass on that. But have fun with that

Not only do I not understand why OP is so obsessed with freerolls, I cannot for the life of me figure out why he's so keen to drum up numbers, seeing as it just reduces the already meagre prizes every time someone else registers.

Hasn't jyms already has a moan at you about this? As far as I'm aware, FTR do not encourage aspiring poker players to play freerolls, because it's not the kind of poker we're playing. It's a crapshoot. If you enjoy the games, well fair enough, but the majority of people here want to be making significant money from poker, and these freerolls just don't cut it.

I'd advise you just stop playing them and instead fire up $50 on stars or wherever, and grind 2nl, while studying as much as possible, posting hands etc.

If OP doesn't already have $50 then that would be a serious indication of freeroll failure. I assume he does though, but probably thinks the "free" aspect of freeroll makes it have value, when it actually means for me that I can play 5NL for 6 or so hours and make $20. Maybe over a 40 hours I can make closer to $120+ without effort. Freerolls in effect actually aren't free, they cost you money to play

When my bankroll is over $2500 I do a withdrawal to get back under $2000. So far, I have done three withdrawals this year. I'm doing very well in my 7th year of retirement since retiring at age 47. I use poker and Khan Academy to keep my brain active, and I do three
mile walks and pullups to keep the body in shape.

One of my reasons for posting freerolls, is some newcomers to this forum may open a Carbon account from FlopTurnRiver links.
If I post these freerolls at another forum, besides getting dozens of thank you's, they may use that forums link for a new Carbon account. Which does FlopTurnRiver prefer the newcomer to download a link from? I mean, if you do not generate new players, poker forums disappear. I deleted one of my forum links yesterday because the forum no longer exists(thenutspokerforum).

I posted several Online Poker Series tournaments with $100 and $200 entry fees this week. Feel free to enter those, or....
I posted tournies with entry fees between $5 and $50 this week. I do not only post freerolls.

Are the Online Poker Series also useless. I can stop posting those in the tournament threads, too. Not all of us prefer ring games.
I mean the post is in the 'Tournament' thread. I'll just be sure not to pm any tourneys to any forum members here.

seams to me a good advertisement for people to check the site, cheap $100 for 1.000 people logging on the site.

    178 people entered this tournament.

I work for 6 minutes at my job to buy a bag of $4 peanuts. You worked for how long to buy 1/4 bag of peanuts? I think I disagree with this statement. I don't <3 freerolls

I do not think there was late registration for this game. Glad you got in. Placing in the money is always a good thing.

$1.20 happens to be the minimum out there on Carbon that can get one into a ring game. Hope to see you in a ring game soon.
Knocking down some grinding to show appreciation to some of the poker sites that have paid me quickly. No fun living under
a cloud that our funds can be confiscated at any time. I hear another network recently bailed on their New Jersey, Delaware,
    and Nevada players.

You can make a lot of money playing freerolls but you have to pick and choose the ones you do play. Most of the open freerolls have no value when you take into consideration the time spent for the little amount of money that is won. The freerolls you should take advantage of are usually ones with restrictions like the 5k points freeroll at Bovada and the 2 a day freeroll at Carbon.

3 or 4 hours grafting for $1.20 not my idea of a good time, then u have to play through unless you already made a deposit.dont think thease kind off freerolls are a good idea
