I feel that I should've just called PF or made a bigger raise. But I still thought that he would've been pot committed..

Agreed. Check that and hope he makes a second pair or lower trips and then hammer him.

If he anything to the straight he'd probably call your allin since he can afford it and the pot is so big.

Can see why you went allin, but checking is the way to go

I re-raise him PF. With these blind levels that indicates a great strength. He will be checking this if I allow him to. I just hoped you would've caught something there..

Well, perhaps I coulda afforded checking this on flop

I think your play is fine, if he's got AK, JJ he's calling, KQ... well he should have folded pre flop, be he'll call now. The only way you get action with a check is if he hits a lower set, and he's got just as much of a chance of hitting a hand that beats you with AQ/AT type hands.

But you have to figure he is way ahead here. You have a rainbow flop. There is str8 potential but I am willing to give him a card and hope he leads out after the turn thinking he is ahead or on a draw.... maybe he bluffs on the end if two rags come and you are now checking it to him.

After a re raise pre flop and that board the chance of him bluffing is about as close to 0 as it gets.

No wrong play here. Only caveat is that if you give him a free card that hits then you have to be ok with the fact that you let him catch an out and knock your ass to the street.

You make a good point. Maybe it's better to bet out. However, if I bet out, I wouldn't simply push, I'd bet just a little to suck him in... True, he could have a straight draw, but come on, it's probably a gutshot.

Push preflop, barring reads, it's the same way I play a very wide range of hands however

You can't check that flop after you re-raised a raise.

All it does is make him fold the turn instead.

Try minimum betting it: 4,000 seems like a good line here.

Otherwise, I do like the all fake bluff.

I dont like this play, I want to maximize the winnings, not to take the pot down right there.

I guess I should've just raised 4k more and then just pushed on the flop giving him even better odds. There was no way I was gonna check that flop to him. Cause I re-raised PF and there was a K on the flop he has to think that I most certainly hit the flop with AA,KK,AK, only other possibility would be QQ but that hand alongside JJ would prolly just call or go AI. He would only bet when he has a strong hand, and if he has a strong hand he would call me. Otherwise he is check-folding.
