    Default I need a friendly advice

    Hello everyone

    I currently play $3.40 9-man SNG on pokerstars. In the past when I reached 100$ on my bankroll I jumped right on 4 - tabling $5.5 SNG , won a few games ended up at 195 $ and suddenly started loosing and came right back (almost where I started)- I've been as low as 27$ but build it back to 100$ again. So my plan now is to reach 180-200 and then take a shot at the $5.5 again if I loose some I'll go down and build my roll up for another shot.

    My "main goal" is to one day be able to 10-table the $10 9-man SNG.
    So do you guys have any advice that have taken this journey? I can handle 3 tables atm with 4 it feels like I dont care if I loose 1 because I still got 3 left. So 3 seems to work for me. Should I keep building my roll and take a shot at the $5.5 or should I go down to $1.2 and practice with 4-5 tables until I'm good enough to handle 10 ?

    Thanks in advance

    Any time you make a drastic change to the way you play the game you may want to consider moving down a level; this includes adding more tables or trying something new to you like 3bet bluffs, etc.

    For as long as you think you're beating your current level and have the bankroll to play there, I wouldn't move down. Especially as the rake is much higher at $1.2.

    Also, if your problem with adding tables is that one tournament will come to seem too insignificant, then decreasing the buy-in can surely only make it worse.

    In general, I would prioritize moving up over adding tables. That's not to criticize your goals (you're perfectly entitled to have them anywhere you want), it just seems a faster way to learn, that's all.

    multi-tabling at your current level is probably your best way to learn. Just slowly add tables, don't rush it.

    I started out with 2 and slowly worked my way up to 8 over a two month period. I noticed a 'slight' decrease in profits when I went from 4 to 6 but the volume helped make up the difference...

    Anyways, just slowly increase at your current level. For the sake of argument, lets say you are able to 6 table the $3 SnGs. When you move to $5 SnGs, don't start off 6 tabling $5 SnG. Start off with 3 tables and slowly work up to 6 (even though you can handle 6 at the lower level). Treat each new level as if you are starting over. Don't just jump up to a new level while simultaneously playing the max number of tables that you can play.

    Take the time to learn each level and grow within each level. Every level plays a "touch" different than the one beneath it, so give yourself some time/opportunity to figure out the pecularities of each level.

    good luck

    I agree with the advice of prioritizing higher buy ins over more tables.
    I think that moving up in buy ins require you to adjust and improve your game, while adding table is more of a 'technical' detail

    Given your goal your priority should be to make it to $10 tables

    Make sure you are properly rolled before you move up (at least 30 buy ins)

    Thanks for the answears guys.

    I'll definitly do like Fielmann suggested and move up instead of adding the frickin tables

    TLR - I wont do that misstake again like last time. I'll get myself properly rolled this time and drop down if I loose to many buy ins

    Since I'm building a bankroll right now would you guys suggest I move to a "easier" site than stars or should I stay where I am and keep improving my game? (since I face better opponents)

    If you're talking about the 'euro-sites', then from my experience, the bonuses, especially the sign-up bonuses, are a bigger advantage than the lighter (?) competition. The major drawback is software, but if you're sticking to <4 tables at the moment, then this shouldn't be a big issue. So I'd say go for it.

    Make sure you do some research before you sign up and transfer money. You want to know
    - if they spread the game you want and what the rake structure is;
    - if this game has enough traffic;
    - about bonuses (codes, rakeback deals, clearance rate).

    Hey Adii, about changing sites, I've been looking for a table full of first graders gambling their lunch money away. I haven't found them yet, but that's where I want to play. Why would anybody want to play against better players? Seems like a good way to lose your roll. Be the better player, don't play the better player. There are better avenues to learn this game.

    With that said I made a small deposit 50.00 in a site and 3 days later their payment processor took another 400. My bank gave it back. So be careful. I am sticking with FT or PS for that reason.

    Also, my opinion but I think 30bi is light for newer players. I think 50-60 is a much better number for those of us trying to get to the next level.

    With "easier" opponents I mean switching to a site lika titn poker. From what Ive read this site has a big number of loose players. I dont know if its true its what Ive read

    I Think you should stay at Stars. If you're making a difference between fish is making a difference between a tuna and a goldfish. You should be able to become a reg on stars or else you will fail.

    OT: I agree with staying same level if you have the roll and add up some table(s) per day/week.

    Goodluck.
