WOW.. what an awesome offer. For someone like myself who is just considering venturing into larger buyin mtts but to date have just not had the time committment necessary. I'm not sure what kind of 'volume' of MTT's you'd be looking at here and I'm thinking I probably don't have the time necessary (something like 20mtts/mth I'm guessing is not enough).
I've done very well in the one's I've played so far and have read every book I could get my hands on (most recent fav. being 'Winning Poker Tournaments' - 'One Hand At A Time'). I believe I'd fare well in the moderately larger buyins but have just not made the committment (yet). THis offer here of yours is awesome!!
(I mostly play private tourneys online, where I can get half decent play on the cheap and have back-to-back 4th place finishes in the OFC buyins, have only played a handful of $26's on FT but have taken a 5th in the $17K).
I think perhaps I should email you as it might be the push I need to make the committment. Just not sure if I'd be able to play enough to make it worth your while???
Main reasons for wanting to step up in buyins,.. I'm tired of poor play in the lower buyins and never play anything under $26 unless it's a priv. tourney. Also of course would like the shot at bigger paydays too.
Thanks for posting this... what a great oppurtunity!!! Very cool!!

timing is everything. I'm going pro cash full-ring in May, but unfortunately don't have a whole lot of time before that. I want to learn tourney play though..... I wonder what decent volume means? I think I'll ask.

For entertainment & humour? Kinda suprised by your comment here,.. this guy is an excellent player offering a great oppurtunity for someone (AND.. the payout of only 10% is so minimal it's not even funny). No way you can beat that anywhere!!

I ended up getting way more applications than I thought I would and ended up choosing two students instead of one.

If all goes well, I should continue doing this in the future.

Thank you to all who applied.

Sucks that I got my info to you too late.

Were they from FTR? Can you disclose who they were?
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I would quite like to listen into the sessions any chance of that ?
If not perhaps one of the students could write a blog for the rest of us to read.

    neither one was from ftr.

I am basically on vent anytime I play so it really isn't that hard to listen to my words of wisdom if you really wanted to.
