Default hypothetical if you put the guy on nothing whadda you do

K guy is runnin 45/15/4.8 his done lots of min raises preflop, called down raises super light. I say hes got NOTHING, but taking chip stacks and all that crap into account what can i really do?? i dont know how he would react to a reraise here, and how much can we risk to find out. if he folds great but i know hes loose as piss but as far as flop play he can go either way sooooo. But I am like 95% hes on strait GARBAGE here. so i guess just put the chips in and find out right? I dunno folding is the easy solution but i guess how sure do i need to be i can get a fold off of X amout bet that i can reraise??

Small point, but I'd make it 400 to go rather than 450. Saves you a few chips if you need to fold and remember the pot builds exponentially on subsequent streets.

As played, bleh I hate these spots when loose opps donkbet into you, but considering stack sizes I think you need to let it go. Any reasonable raise is going to be to at least 1000-1200 chips and if he shoves over (or calls and an A does not come on the turn) you have to fold, having burnt almost half your stack.

Have you seen him call raises and donkbet the flop first in previously?

I've been out of the SNG routine for a while, but I would think of this situation like this (warning, maybe bad way to look at it!) - if you continue with this hand, you're making this a pivotal hand in your tourney - whether good or bad, it's going to have big implications, you're the two chipleaders and it's going to get expensive. If you let it go, it's just another flop you missed, plenty of chips and plenty of time to nail him later.
Is it realistic that this guy could have any hand with a Q? How about any hand with a 5? Any ugly hand that has two clubs? Sure! He's playing everything! Personally I'd lay this down and re-enforce his belief that he's pwning you right along with the rest of the table with his awesome poker skillz.
Obviously you're looking to nail an opponent who's playing 45% of his hands, but considering he's playing every second hand, he should provide you with a better spot in the next couple orbits - that is if no one else doubles through him first!

I would just fold in this situation. Like said, it's early in the tournament en we don't want to commit much of our stack with nothing, we only have A high. No flush or straightdraws for us...let it go. If he's really the donk you say he is he could easily have a a Q, a 5 or a clubdraw.

Sometimes it's better just putting your ego ( i'm better than this donk) on the side. I've lost thousands of chips this way.

    A couple thoughts:

This is always frustrating when you know you are playing better starting hands then your opponent but can't capitalize on them because you don't get enough of the flop. If my chip situation was different (i.e less) I might raise/push over knowing how wide his PF range is, and on a relatively uncordinated board, that we are likely ahead. He might be the type to call with KJ just to see here. However your stack is sitting nicely and he looks like too good of a target to stack, especially if no one is playing back at him. You will have a much better defined hand at some point, and there is a good possibility you two will be in multiple B v B battles which may provide you more chances to disguise your hands. I opt to fold here as played.

I agree that any meaningful raise is going to commit too many chips at this stage.

I am on the fence about calling. I think that it would be spewy in this situation as you will be in the same place on the turn.
