    Default Huge pot...

I am 2nd in chips, we are ITM with about 17 left in this small $20 freezout, and I am vs the chipleader. He has played good, stealing lots, running 24/19. Can I find a fold here? At what point is +EV overtaken by +$EV?

If he has been raising a lot, I would have reraised like 4x his raise. If he 4 bet, then I think that you have to let it go unless you know that he is capable of doing this with a wide range.

You have a monster draw. As played, I like the check raise. You are a favorite against his range so calling off your stack to get a monster stack is +EV here if you want to win IMO. If you put him on the tightest of range like QQ+ and TT, you are a 60/40 dog. You're a flip if he has a range of J9o, J9s TT+, AKs, AKo. In the heat of battle, I take this chance.

calls, pair + nut flush draw + guttie + overcard. Maybe you are up against a set but there is too much in the pot now...

Reraise pre and call the push.

That's horrible, do that with 93o.

As played, it's fine to get it in but I like a c/c better. You're wa/wb.

Also think about what is his range for betting this flop? Do you think he'll bet AK/AA/AQ/QJ etc?

In other words, if you c/r the flop you either

    -play a huge 40-50% pot vs 2p+
    - pick up the small pot against a hand that you had crushed anyway.

I play the hand way different.

I reraise pre. And if I hadn't, I lead that flop.

As played, you have to get it all-in.

When the hell did I start playing like you, char? Jeeze - given the year you've had, maybe I need to return to MTTs.

PF call is not that bad, basically the only pre-flop line I hate here is one that involves folding. I hope you sucked out on him and he whined in the table chat like he always does.

you mention he's stealing lots. I don't want his wide range to see flops easily. I reraise AQs here every time, big enough to make him fold or make a big mistake in calling, or if he shoves we're going with it.

Flop is no decision, open shove/call shove.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately
