Easiest Sit N Go's? What about Bonus?

Default Easiest Sit N Go's? What about Bonus?

What site has the easiest $5/$1 SNG 1-table or 3-table tournaments?

Do any of them have initial deposit bonusses?

I have been playing at party poker, but my $100 BR is not $0 so I am looking to get an initial deposit somewhere else.

Or do you think I should stay @ party?

Sign up on a party skin on another computer. Then you can do the bonus on that site and play the same tourneys. Try looking back through older posts for this.

Problem with trying to clear a bonus in Sngs is that each tourney will only count as 1 raked hand. The only real way to clear a bonus (that has a raked hand requirement) is to do it at the cash games.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

i dont think tourneys coutn at all for clearing bonuses.

Personally, I'd recommend playing at a site where $5 + .5 SnGs are offered. UB, and Stars both offer them. I'm not sure where else does, but I'm sure someone can say. I know the difference doesn't seem like much, but think of it this way: playing somewhere else means that you get a sale on sit-n-gos: buy 11, get 1 free!

I play at pokerroom. We've got $5 +$.5 SnG's, $1500 in chips at the start, which is a nice burn buffer. Nobody really knows what they're doing at this level, although the fish fry factor can be irritating some times.

It's the nicest looking interface, but it's kind of slow and there are no 2-3-4-5 multitables tourneys, just the big ones (2,000 people max). The hand history is pretty weak too. I just started an account at PokerStars, and I'd play there if I didn't enjoy playing with my Apple laptop so much and was stuck sitting at a PC.

rake consideration is so important, .75+.25 is freaking highway robbery.

I hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread with only a semirelated topic, but I'm looking for another site to play sit and go's and I wanted to get some input. The three sites I'm looking at are

FulltTilt (like the SNG Structure 9 player 1500 chips)
    Poker Stars (ditto)
Paradise (I admit it, I'm intrigued by the freemillion promo)

I haven't played for real money on tilt before, but I like the software. I understand the play is a little more difficult. Does that apply to the 11's and the 22's too? And what about Stars? Does anyone have another reccomendation?

I'm not so much concerned about the bonuses, but if there is a nice one on a site with the type of SNG I want to play, that could certainly be a factor.

starting out, Stars or FullTilt are probably a bit friendlier than Party's 800 chip, 10 man SNGs.

people seem to like the 5+.50s on stars
  12. #12
Thanks. I've definitely already ruled out party. Usually play the 11's and some 22's. Any opinion on the players at those levels on fulltilt vs stars?
  13. #13
The SnGs at Full Tilt fill up very slowly. They do have good ring games and MTTs though.

Poker Room is good because you can clear the bonus by playing SnGs and MTTs.
Stars is running a 20% up to $120 bonus until next Thursday (rare for PS) you can also clear the bonus by playing SnGs and MTTs at Stars.
  14. #14
I played quite a number of SnGs on Paradise, but have nothing to compare them to, so yea. I will say they get you million points (what you need to try the freeroll qualifiers) very quick ($20 in fees gets you a shot).
Up my bankroll - buy Saints Row.

I read an article the other day on P5's I think that said the $22's at UB were as hard as the $55's on Stars. Is this true? because Ive been playin the $22's at UB, do you think I should consider switching to Stars?
  16. #16
$55's are pretty tight on stars. I've never played at UB. The $33's are low hanging fruit. The $20's are a bit too fishy for me, but I still play them. Now that I got 7th in the $5 rebuy, I probably wont be playing too many of them anymore.

I currently play them both. Definitely feel like I'm facing more quality competition at the $55s. I'd say they are comparable to the GOOD players at UB's $22s (though you do get an occasional nimwit even in the 55s...)
And as gnomes said, they are ultra tight; more so than any SnGs I've played.

PartyPoker skins do, but I wouldn't play SnGs with a 20% rake, that's robbery, I'd recommend playing somewhere else like PokerStars, where they offer $5 + $0.50 SnGs, which is a standard 10% rake.

As for SnGs clearing bonuses, I don't think they do. You need raked hands to clear bonuses, and raked hands can only be attained in cash games (unless you are clearing a PokerStars bonus, in which case you can accumulate the FPP required by playing SnGs).

You can clear bodog bonuses via SnG's too.

And after looking into it, the clearing rate at Bodog is awesome too! For every dollar you pay in entry fee rake, $2 of bonus is cleared! I'm going to have to play some Bodog now too

How is their structure in comparison to stars?

Slower than Party but definitely faster than Stars. Vqchuang should be able to give you a good answer, I only played for a shortwhile there.

Pretty much what arkana said. Players are bad, there are a few more blind levels but they still go up via hands played.

In terms of length of play
    from shortest to longest

    PPSkins, Bodog, Stars

I think Bodog is a happy medium. I raped the 5.5s.

I played 10 of the $30+3's, ITM 50% cant remember the ROI as there is no way to get them to import into poker tracker and I am way to lazy to do the math.

this is correct for party and empire. i don't know about the other skins. i think the bonus offers are different with each skin since they are separate companies.

i have recently started playing on pokerstars and like the fact that SNGs count toward the bonus. however, i have spent most of my time playing on party and empire, and i find the pokerstars tourneys take such a long time to play. love the HU tourneys, though.

Try playing on Poker room or alternatively known as "Joker room" given the amount of bad beats that happen in low limit single tables, mainly because muppets do not understand the game. However, to earn enough bonus point you really need to play in ring games. The best to play on Joker room are the .25 cent pot limit games. So long as you are actually dealt cards, then you are earning contributions towards your points.

I play at poker room. I like it there...i should use the bonus more, thanks to those on this thread for pointing that out! the 5+.50s are pretty good, although has has been noted, alot of novices, so there is a fair amount of bad beats going on due to bad plays.. I am hoping to move up to 10+1 soon..

I agree, I like having around 1500 chips to start a tournament. With anything under $20, you occasionally get tables where everyone wants to gamble so some one will put your KK allin early on holding ace rag. Its nice when your cowboys hold up but that ace is going to fall enough to make you ill.

Pokerstars is the best place for SNG's IMO. When you get down ITM players tighten up. After you've run them over with raises you'll be HU against some shmuck with 10 % of the chips in play.
  34. #34
Yeah, I played on Ultimate and STars at the 10 dollar limits for awhile. If i had to choose I would say Stars. The players in my opinion are a little bit worse on stars and there easier to make money off then UB.

Bodog is an absolute MUST for anyone playing at the 11s or 5.5s

You simply HAVE to move your entire bankroll onto this site while these sngs are still so super freaking soft.
