    Default Correct to fold?

Enjoyable hand I saw on the poker subreddit (not my hand). 14 people remaining, 13 places paid.

This is quite interesting, especially because I'm not a tournament player.
You have 744 chips and cshez has 740 therefore if both players are eliminated this hand then we win.
So we shouldn't consider this player as our decision only matters if eshez wins this hand.

    So this is hand 0

Next hand is hand 1, no players forced all in.

Ucha will have to go all in and beat 2 players on hand 1 or hand 2 to survive
SemenGin will have to go all in on hand 2 and hand 3

We are all in on hand 3.

So, if we fold this hand:
We lose if we don't win hand 3 and Ucha wins one hand and SemenGin wins 2 hands.
The probability of that is approximately 2% by my estimation
So I think it's fairly clear that folding AA is correct in this scenario because if we go all in, it's likely we get two callers and our chances of losing against 2 random hands is 30%.

Yep, run the timebank and fold, if the blinds will go up in less then 3 hands then greka will also be forced to be all in with shorter stack

It's h4h, using our time makes no difference. Wasting time might allow us to make the call if we see a shorter stack go bust on the other table, but seeing as calling = folding in that instance, it's still not helping us. Just snapfold and brag that shit.

Its h2h but blinds will still go up in 2 min
on the other table there is a player with 482 chips, this is 3 antes + 2 in the current blind level, but if blinds will go up he will be all in with shorter stack then we have when we are BB

me myself run clock low and stick the chips in , supprising how u can get caught out. AA with just the big blind to beat . i take the chance to make the seat

Hadn't really thought about blinds going up, I guess that helps so yeah point taken.

    You have to play it.
    1) To give yourself a chance to get back in to contention.
    2) Because you will be really gutted when the shorter stacks donk the forced allin, and you lose with your next random BB.

(even if salsa4ever is probably mathematically better, I prefer to give it a try)

I would have to shove and pray here and put myself in contention to go deeper into the money. I think this is a common mistake of min cashers. Also what happens if the other small stacks double up? You just missed your chance with the best possibility to double up.

    It's a satellite.

In case of satellite, I would have fold but in normal tourny , I would have go all in for deeper run.

There's no question that this is a fistpump snappitysnap ejaculation call if this is a normall MTT.

Yeah, this is a tricky spot in the satellite format (7 seats, 14 remaining and 13 receive at least some payout according to OP).

If this were me, I'd get the chips in the middle and hope to show down a winner 3-handed vs. SB & BB. I'd also be interested in knowing how much 8th-13th pays percentage-wise, because that's where we're likely headed this hand if we fold & someone else busts out.

Well if you are shooting for a min cash folding would most likely get you there, but take the double up while you can!

Well spotted. I assumed top 13 got tickets, but if it's only top 7, while the next 6 gets some fpps or money, well I'm playing for the ticket, not a crappy points return. It's obviously difficult to say without knowing what the prize is for cashing, but I'm very likely to get my chips in here because I want a ticket, and folding will likely mean I blind out before top 7.

If 1st - 13th gets ticket this is quite clear fold. But if 13th gets like 0,5$ then it's all-in.

All in said, we miss critical information in this hand to judge it properly. Someone could calculate the prize pool from average stack (x14 players) but I don't know how much they rake in those hyper sats.

Well, just because this is a Sat, I believe that the best option is let the time run and pray (lol) for one of the players with less chips being eliminated. But in fact, if it happens with me (believe, it had happened) I really have to pay. Sometimes I lose but with the luck that I have (lol) I guess that if I won't pay the 2 guys with less chips will have a big lucky hands and in the end I finish 14th place sucking in my finger (lol). But is safer to fold!

Looks like a easy fold in a flat payout satellite and prob wanna get it in in a regular mtt payout.
