Default Ackward spot with 77, deep Sunday Mill versus Vanessa Selbst.

Pokerstars Sunday Million, 36 people left. , villain (Vanessa Selbst) has been playing super aggro, minraising every button/CO/Hijack when folded to her and also getting in some spewing wars preflop that she's won. That being said, she's obviously a very competent tourney player and my table image is very tight and I've only shown down good hands (just 4 hands ago I lost a 1.7 mill pot getting it in with QQ vs A5s but then doubled AQ through A6 to stay alive).

I have 900k to start hand, Vanessa has me well covered with 4 million. Blinds are 30k/60k with antes. Folded to me in Hijack and I make it 150k total with 77, folded to Vanessa who makes it 335k from the SB. I assume I have very little f/equity. 99+ is obviously an auto-shove but I thought this one was interesting.

    Thoughts?

Would be nice to know stacksizes of everyone. If BB had 60-140k and Vanessa covered, I'm thinking its a fold since most people shove their whole range vs your open. Probably would fold regardless; definitely agree about having 0 fold equity

Most regs nowadays will not raise/fold with your stack so vs some people your open might be perceived as super strong (maybe not so much from Vanessa since she's more of a live player). I don't hate the open with 77 but I'd want a good reason for it, like if BB was a loose/passive fish or overly spewy preflop + BTN will never flat you. In general I like shoving pre better tho

I would just open push this preflop. As played, it seems really marginal to shove given your stack size, so I would fold.

BB had over a mill in chips iirc. I guess shoving does seem better. I had just doubled up so thought 'hey i can play poker again!' without realizing I was still in a tourney.
