I definitely don't raise the flop, I flat to peel another card and see what happens on the turn. I feel like I'm pissing away chips but against a guy like this he could be donk betting a worse ace, non-set pocket pair or worse.

Raise pré flop in position, bet more on flop and check call in the other streets

    Default Pre not Post

I would raise pre, not post... here's why... pre, he could be throwing out a rather 'tame' bet for many reasons... blind steal, feeler, etc etc... he could do so with A-rag, small/mid pair, maybe even KQ / KJ... so by raising and noting his response, you get a much better read on what he has then doing the same post... if you wait until post flop to raise, he now knows if any of his cards hit, and if he's really aggro, he fires as soon as he matches something... once you raise pre if he 4 bets, you dump... usually he'll flat call... then read what he does once the flop comes... btw, not that i would, but folding A-10 if he bets big is not the worse fold in the world... in any tournie situation, you dont want to be calling down hands which can easily be losers........... Opp might fold or raise (in which case you can easily give up) but what if he flats and the flop comes like it is? I'd need a whole lot of metagame, reads, table image etc. to 3-bet ATs preflop in this spot.

    "PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 15 Tournament"

not super obvious in the string of numbers but it is a 15$

Pre I feel flatting is alot better. you are ip, if the pot goes 3 or 4way you have a hand that plays well in that situation as well. Flat flop to keep bluffs and weaker hands in. Bet turn if checked to or raise if he bets anything small and the board gets any wetter.

As played I like river raise to 300, I think a Q can crying call and he prob does not fold any aces.

well was going to ask this today anyhow, but seems post has been elaborated on too..

iirc villain was holding jq; if pf we have a better idea of the width of his range, how would we have played this hand differently?

more value on rvr as has been suggested?

    - thanks for replies
