Default 99 shortstacked, time to gambool?

This is from the bodog 100k and I do not feel like copy pasting so here goes. I have 6k in the SB and blinds are going to 400/800 next hand. UTG + 1 open shoves 2k after he just took a tough beat for most of his stack (atc obv). MP 2 has around 25k and makes it 7k to go. Is it horrible to gamble with 99 here? My read on MP 2 is that he is pretty aggro but has shown down decent hands, although I would not put it past him to iso here with stuff like AJo or 77. Also MP 2 is a giant cardrack (AA, KK, AKx2, and a few more in the last 3 or 4 orbits), does this ever affect your decision?

It seems close but you are short and need to chip up. I would gamble.

His raise size makes me think he has a strong hand. I see people try to isolate cheaply with some junk like A8o they'll raise to 4k. When he raises to 7k he definitely has something.

If you think his range is 77+ AJ+ then call, if it's 88+ AQ+ then fold. This is really close to me but I guess I'd call with 99+ AQs AK.

I really feel like this depends completely on the other stack sizes at the table. Does anyone have >12k left to act after big stack raises???

If someone has >12k I think big stack's range is considerably different than if, let's say, remaining players to act were <7k.

OK here are the actual numbers, I was going from memory before and was a slightly off on numbers and positions.

    2 folds
    UTG + 2: All in for 2.3k
    2 folds
    CO: 26.7k, raises to 7.7k
    BU: 16k, folds
    Hero is SB: 5.6k
    BB: 10k

This can be close, but since you are so short and blinds are going up next hand, I'd call.

I think his range is like AQ+ TT+ an overwhelming majority of the time, with a small % of the time showing a smaller pair (55-88) and AJs....

I think this is a folddddd.
