Default 78s vs shortstack, snap call?

villain is competent, has some aggro, understands that sometimes when you're short it makes a lot of sense to shove, etc.
payout structure is weird, it ended up being a 7-man sng with $271 for 1st, $0 for 2nd.
snap-call right? or is it close?

    Button (t920)
    SB (t3100)
    Hero (BB) (t6480)

    Hero's M: 21.60

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, 7
    Button bets t920 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero calls t720

I can only see folding if he's capable of doing something absurd like folding 3 hands in a row after this one.

why snap call i now youve got the big stack,y give him a chance to double up, plenty off time to get to hu. if he double u give hime a chance off building a stack.s&g not the same as mtt, with only 1 player cashing keep your stack and move on to the next hand

Generally, I'd call, it's a winner take all and your hand will play well v his range.

I'd prolly fold this if I knew last two were gonna chip chop. Had there been any talk of chops aside from the table idiot suggesting if after three hands?

Think I still would have make the call.

I think it's close (obviously +cEV but not sure if I'm calling here).
Might be better to keep him in (depending upon what he's been doing up to this point) & put pressure on other player (although not really seated in optimal spot either).
Meh.... it's close. Maybe difference for me would be if I'd been sitting on table with the other two players in this.

I don't see a huge advantage in folding to keep him alive. You don't have position on the mid-stack which means you can't be open shoving or r/f'ing to him. Plus there's no incentive for him to finish 2nd since its winner takes all

Whats your image? In later spots bvb, do you think you'd get called light?

If it's +cEV then it's obviously a snap call since it's winner take all.

But it didn't end up as wta. Last two chopped. Can't help feel this is important in helping hero's decision. If last three knew that last two were going to at least discuss a chop, does that make this a fold?

Hmmm I'm not sure if it matters given you're going to be chopping based on stack sizes.

Anyways this is definitely a +EV call.
