You pretty much have the hand that you're representing, so I guess it depends how often you think he'll try to steal the dead money? I can't see him folding TT+, AK.

Pretty big raise.. indicative of a pair here. Really hard to say at this level, being this deep, againts this opponent which pair he has. I think its possible to have him on any pair, 66-AA. Also possibly a hand like AK but I think thats as far as it goes in terms on unpaired cards.

Pretty standard raise w/ 2 early limps .. your push is representing a hand like AK, AQ. AA-QQ obviously call regardlessly, does he call with JJ, TT? possibly 99,88? I think its safe that most of the time 99 and less get mucked here.

    Results soon pls?

I'm sure he's not worried about my overlimp at all so he only has to worry about Utg. He's 60bb deep against Utg and that's an unknown player, probably bad, so his range should be pretty wide on the button.

As mcatdog indicated, it's pretty easy to narrow my range down to 77-99/AQ because I'm never overlimping TT+/AK there. But still hands like KQ/AJ/JTs have to fold..

To conclude I don't really mind my play and it might even be better than just raising after the limper (my usual choice obv).

Still the 800 raise is strange, I'd expect something like 6-700 usually.

his range is wide here and I don't mind it. makes you look fishy too. You might get looked up here with a mid pocketpair but I doubt he has AK.

tough, he may still call with AK here if he knows you know he wouldn't call with AK. christ, did i really just say that?

    Jfish,

Why do you think he's not worried about your over-limp? Limping from UTG+1 with seven people left to act, he should know that you probably have a pretty good hand which isn't a monster. Raising with a very wide range seems questionable on his part as he's setting you up to make this play if UTG folds or just calls (and letting you fold if UTG limp raises). Thus wasting his position advantage.

Jmontis, I don't think yellowsub would even consider folding AK.

I think he calls you with worse like AJ, KQ, maybe even AT. Definitely 99+.

What's your read on the UTG limper? If he's loose then sub is raising a really wide range.

ummm - couple of things I find weird in the responses:

    1) his raise doesn't seem weird to me at all jfish, a standard 3x + 1BB for each limper would make his raise 750.

    2) there is no reason to doubt that he has AK here.

On to the hand - from what I know about yellow, he is a very good but also a very aggressive player. If he knows anything about you (which again I think we can assume he does as he is high volume just like you) he should be able to put you on a pretty narrow range of hands like AQ, or a mid pp. The question then is whether he is making this raise with a hand or whether he is making this raise based on a read that you can fold. If there's a decent chance that it's the latter than your play is fine (a stop'n'go would work well here too).
