Default $8/180 Q8s flops top two on monotone board

This is first hand so no reads at all. Forget about preflop, it was a misclick. However, now that we're in the hand and flop top two, how is this line? Should I raise the flop?

Also, WTF is the river shove? The nuts trying to get paid off? Busted draw?

First hand so not much for you to go on. If he is sure he has won the hand why push. Better play would be to value bet to try and get you to call. The push to me looks like a bluff with the Ad to try and force the fold. I am tempted to call here.

I'd bet larger on the turn and fold now. Overbet is just a flush IMO, and I sorely doubt you're winning over 40% to call. Certainly I wouldn't be that surprised if you won though.

It certainly looks like the nuts or near nuts to me. Look at the action. open CO, overcalls flop, calls flop bet with a player behind still to act, shoves river. An interesting play would be to do this with naked Ad, Omaha style, but that's probably pretty rare.

Oh, also you should value bet the river. 300 or so. There'd definitely value vs his range as he can still have AQ/KK/AA and is never ever folding them.

    And preflop is 100% standard.

I like everything Renton has said.

I wanna raise the flop but I'm not sure if it's optimal.

You need to be very very sure that you can easily fold to a flop 3-bet if you do this. IMO it's too risky and your hand doesn't even have that great of equity vs a range anyhow. Any pair plus diamond is flipping with you, any diamond has 35%, you're a huge dog to a flush and a worse dog to sets. Just see a turn.

Yeah I play same here, except b/f river. I'd be tempted to raise flop too, but we're vbetting vs stuff like Adx, and if anyone decides to get aggro with a nfd, we're gonna be folding out the best of it.

As played I'm tempted to call river because lol it's not looking like a value bet to me. Flopped the nuts? Then wtf, why is he betting twice the pot now, rather than raising flop or turn to make shoving river easier? This is a busted diamond draw often enough for me to at least consider this call.

Was gonna suggest bet/fold river, but at the time I think I might be more inclined to just check/call river.
No doubt more often than not, this river shove is the nuts ... 'but' (lol) last time I had this happen vs. me in a 27man villain had some garbage hand which he proceeded to show, lol.

yep he got the flush. calls your raise. if he raises again always a chance u fold. so he calls for value. the raise to all in on the river. more probability he has A flush, if it looks probable it usually is.................
