Default $5 - JJ very early

Only 7 hands in, but UTG hadn't put any money into any hands yet. Button had already called a raise preflop and limped about 4 hands but not shown any cards. I usually reraise preflop with JJ in a spot like this, but decided just to call here. Am seeing this a lot lately where opponents just shove in on the flop. Usually it's pretty obvious they don't want a call, but I just don't get this play. Should I just let this go this early or are you calling this all day long?

I would reraise preflop, nothing fancy - about 220-240 and take it from there.

As played I call purely based on the overbet

Cant let that one go...Prob a missed AQ,AK...

I see a lot of folks at the $6.50 level these days making this move with mid-pockets. In this case many folks will push pockets between TT and 33, not putting you on pocket JJ+ or an unlikely T.

I'd call here given the range of hands a villain could be doing this with (PP < JJ or 2 overcards). Would an opponent play this way with trip tens or QQ+? It's possible, but it's the worst way to exact any value out of the hand. So we are either dealing with a very poor player or one that has missed the flop.

call for sure...If villian had QQ+ he would have checked it to you most likely or bet between 2/3 to pot bet....A shove here represents to me either Ak or a low to mid PP....and if he did have a ten hes not going to shove all in considering the strenght of his hand...call all day bro

Snap call, he has AK almost always.

    Default depends

Its based on your reads of the player. He could have missed AK-AJ but he could also have KK-QQ (down to mid pockets). If he's the gambling type he could have A,T and the push on the flop is to make people behind him think he doesn't have the T...Without a range of hands you can put him on it makes for a tough decision, esp for your tourney.
