Default $3 Sng Satellite to Mid.Mad. weird bubble spot

    Full Tilt Poker Game #12456065640: Satellite to Midnight Madness! (92897013), Table 1 - 800/1600 - No Limit Hold'em - 23:47:24 ET - 2009/05/26
    BTN: Player-1 (6,040)
    SB: Player-2 (1,840)
    BB: HERO (5,620)
Player-2 posts the small blind of 800
HERO posts the big blind of 1,600

    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to HERO [Qh Kd]
    Player-1 raises to 3,200
Player-2 calls 1,040, and is all in
    HERO calls 1,600
    *** FLOP *** [2h 4c 9h]
    HERO checks
Player-1 2,840, and is all in
HERO has 15 seconds left to act

... what do we do here?

Wish I'd had more time than the 15secs. because 10 of that I was shocked by the Player 1's shove, lol.
    Player Reads
    Player-1 44 / 2.6/ 1.8 Has played 50 Sng's, avg. buyin $15, Roi -33%. Oh yah... he sucks.. big time, lol.
Player-2 .. doesn't really matter, other than the fact that he sucked too.. both player 1 & 2 had been limping once the blinds were at 200/400 with 6players left.

(I'll post my thought process and action after).

Easy fold, IMO. All you have are two overs and what can you have beat here? I think you shake your head and hope that Player 1 prevails, and you're heads up with an idiot against whom you have an advantage, not that there's much room for play here. Player 2 called the all in, so he's gotta have something.

Player 2 had less than 1bb in his stack and was on SB. He folds there and he has 1/6th of a bb. (in other words he can't fold here).

.. there is no 'heads-up' play here. Top 2 places pay out the same amount. It's a satellite SNG where top 2 win ticket, 3rd gets $5.

Calling here would be one of the bigger mistakes in poker.
Just dipping my toes back in.

How can we give any input on this hand without knowing the payout structure?

Payout structure is top 2 win entry to tourney and hero is considering calling all in v's someone who has him covered with 2 overcards when shorties calling range is any two cards and the PFR is clearly playing for stacks.

Oops, missed that in the reply. With that in mind, even the preflop call is really really bad. Just let the chipleader bust this guy and get the hell out of the way. Obviously fold now that you got here with king high.

3rd wins just over their buyin.
Called preflop thinking that I'd be checking it down with Player1.

    RESULTS.
    I did fold.
Player 1 showed A-4o... shoved in with bottom pair.
Player 2 had JTo... turn was T

    River was Q.

I know don't focus on result oriented play. I would've actually shoved preflop..... blinds are enormous here and Player1 was pathetic during the game. Reason I called (as mentioned above) was thinking I'd be checking it down regardless of what came on the flop. Player 1 thought otherwise, lol.

If you were thinking of shoving here then...

^^ agreed... a mis-step no doubt. Part of why I'm positing the HH. I didn't post it to show off some stellar play (think about it).
