Default $1mtt AK top pair on mono flop

very early in the daily dollar. flat or gii? Assuming we flat we're b/f a blank river right?

    Full Tilt - 15/30 NL - Holdem - 9 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

    CO: 4,997.00
    BTN: 10,470.00
    SB: 4,638.00
    BB: 5,135.00
    Hero (UTG): 4,545.00
    UTG+1: 5,645.00
    MP: 4,730.00
    MP+1: 4,670.00
    LP: 4,970.00

SB posts SB 15.00, BB posts BB 30.00

    Pre Flop: (45.00) Hero has A K

Hero raises to 90.00, fold, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 90.00, fold, fold, BB calls 60.00

    Flop: (285.00, 3 players) 5 A J
BB checks, Hero bets 285.00, CO calls 285.00, BB calls 285.00

    Turn: (1140.00, 3 players) 8
BB checks, Hero bets 900.00, CO raises to 1,800.00, BB calls 1,800.00, hero?

I do worry when I get raised on a A high board after two strong leads. At later stages in an MTT it's a huge red flag but here it's early.

Edit: flat, eval river seems standard the more I think about it

idk, but I think this is a pretty easy turn fold. Then again I'm not in the same league as those you seek, I'm curious where they are too.

CO is minraising here knowing he's getting called by the pleb on bb calling down his 2pr or the king or whatever, and expecting you to either call or raise. I'm satisfied we're probably drawing dead already, or at best drawing to one of two kings. I pretty much hate life when I'm raised here on the turn, but I don't see myself playing the hand any differently up until now. But yeah I'm folding because I just don't see what we hope CO has here.

There more I think about this hand, the stronger I think CO is. I think I have him on a made flush with a royal redraw. I think he raises turn because he didn't like BB's flop call, CO thinks BB has the Kd and thus knows his draw is blocked. I think CO has QTdd, and BB has something like KdQ or whatever.

The cold hard fact remains though that I really cannot see this ever being worse than AK, and even when we're not drawing dead, we're drawing ridiculously thin.

I think it's a clear fold as well. You played it fine imo, the raise and overall on turn sets off alarm bells.

I'm still an occasional lurker. Last time I played seriously was in 2011?

I fold turn. Flatting turn just seems a waste to me, because I think CO is betting almost everytime on the river.

In that spot, its clear fold for me, almost never you are good with top pair top kicker against that 3bet. I think maybe your cbet on turn was big, I would have bet maybe 1/2 of the pot, enough to see how strong the villains are.

I wouldn't bloat the pot on the flop with a PSB, def fold turn though.

As a general concept don't be too worried of protecting vs flush draws, ranges can be quite wide.
