I'd just 3-bet flop and get it in. As played raise turn to about 70c and jam blank rivers rather than giving a ridiculously cheap card.

It's a bit unique and odd play to just call his raise on the flop. Raise big, he's not gonna lay down his ace of spades, and you always have your 20% to outdraw a flopped flush. If he has a made hand like QJ no spade, he can also put you on a lot of draws for your reraise.

Also he's a random at 2NL, he can easily just not find a fold with Jx especially with a high spade. Get monies into the pot as you're doing just fine vs his stacking off range and don't give him cheap cards for no reason.

I think I want to 3bet the flop.

If villain is almost certainly a fish, which he prob is as he posted DB in CO, he will probably stack off with Asxx, KQss etc. He will stack off with any 2P hands and maybe some TPTK/TPGK.

As played I don't want to check the turn and give him the chance of peeling a card off either.

lol grind. ive got 3bucks in cash and 4 on a ring game ticket. I cashd out my full roll to pay for life crap cos i wasnt playing anyway, shoulda left myself a bit on cos yeah im getting the urge to come back. ill see how i feel in a couple of weeks and maybe chuck some money on to get playing again

thanks for posting to all, as much as i hate getting told im an idiot it has to be said sometimes.
villain raising my psb on a mono board 6way seemed hella strong and i kinda wanted to get away from it.

    That's too low.

When you flop a set, you have 7 outs (7/47 = 14.9%) to improve OTT and 10 outs (10/46 = 21.7%) to improve OTR.
Combining these chances, you have ( 1 - (40/47)(36/46) = ) 33.4% chance of improving to a boat or quads when you have 3-of-a-kind OTF.

    Re-raise the flop.

Given the effective stack size, I'm cool with getting it in here.

oh snap, just curious kick. If you re-load will you be starting @ 2nl/5nl?

btw, I feel real envy toward all of you who get to play on stars/tilt. what's the name of the website that shows player traffic for the different sites?
