Had a totally shit day at work, then went to the casino and had a hilariously bad run. Overpair < TPTK all-in on the flop; Aces up < TPMK; two pair loses a flip against combo draw all-in on the flop; set runs into flopped flush (that was <$200 pot though).

Scratch that. Just won a 4-figure pot SF > Top boat > mucked cards against a nit and a mega reg. Thought for a solid second we might activate the BBJ.

Soooooo, I won't be complaining about luck for a long time.

In november I started playing again after 2 years (I think). I even started a failblog back then. Then I promptly burned myself out and disappeared.
Anyway, started again with 5€ NL.
Until november 28th I've been a happy camper, getting better than expected results:




Then, on november 29th, I went full spewing retardo and turned the month into this:




Bankroll around 115€ now. Will consider moving to 10€ NL when I hit 200€.
Will also look for a stats check-out sooner or later.

I wouldn't beat yourself over a 2.2 BI "swing." A month of 7.27 BB/100 shouldn't be seen as a disappointment by anyone at any stake, unless you're god's gift to poker.

Repeat half of your success in December, and call it a win.

Yeah, it's ok. I'm very happy with the results, considering I didn't play a single hand in two years and I wasn't exactly a stellar player in the first place. I'm a bit pissed off because it was entirely my fault. Not bad luck or super-coolers, just me playing like a total retard for a few hundred hands.

I've never been in better physical shape. Life is good overall.
Women in the early 30s are the most interesting, imo, while still retaining the best physical....features of younger ladies.
Only one thing I find slightly annoying: everyone around me getting married, divorcing, procreating. But close friends know I'm not interested in that bullshit, so they don't bother me with it.

I had to write off a few acquaintances for being totally brainwashed by their fucking kids and becoming unable to think about anything else.

Yes, I realize it's a bit tight. But I considered a few things:
- of all the stupid things I do while playing, br management isn't one of those. If I'll drop to 15BI, I will immediately step down to 5€ and try again at 25BI
- I don't multi-table a lot. Usually 3 tables, sometimes 4, but I'll start with 2 when I move up. So, even if I go full retardo, I'm unlikely to spew away 5 buy-ins in a single session.
- I don't think 10€ will be very different. Maybe slightly less 65/8 retards.
- When (if) I'll reach higher stakes, I'll definitely change my BR rules.
