5nl A4o in sb, 3b pot, flop?

thought this hand was interesting..
BU: 20/15/7 over 336, prob most hands i have a villain as yet. he DB'd w/ 3rd NFD missed and c/c river. seems leaky 5nl tag
I know 336 hands isn't a ton, but he seems to be flatin3b's too much, and he's also 4bing a decent freq.

his 3b flat range: JJ-22,AJs-A5s,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,76s,AQo-ATo,KJo+,JTo,, i could be a bit wide , but he doesn't like to fold to 3b's.

There are so many better hands to be 3betting w/ here. If he is calling a lot of 3bets, then you wanna make your 3bet range value heavy and drop junk like this.

I'm not sure I want to be 3betting A4o here. I might 3bet every suited Ace but that's a completely different story really.

As for the flop I'd suggest you look at what your 3betting range is in this spot. I imagine it's strong enough that you don't want to be calling w/2nd pair when that 2nd pair is 4s. So many hands, even those with no made hand have lots of equity against you and lots have you pretty well beat.

oh yeah i dumped it pretty quick, hence the check OTF, vs 100bb's i could possiblybarrel off, but still oop which makes barreling tougher

I think that you didn't have to make a re-raise (3x his raise) here. For my opinion it would be better if you fold pre flop, because A4o are not very good cards for raising on any cash game.
If you wanted to see the flop and to be involved in this hand, than you only have to made a call, not to re-raise.
However, you made your move and about the flop I could only tell you to go fold, because $1 is to much to risk in this hand.

I would prefer to 3b larger than 3x OOP generally.

As played, I'd prob cbet pretty small here 1/3rd pot or so, and expect all Ax to peel which is a lot of combos.

I agree with other posts. Don't 3b A4o if you flop second pair on a 5 high board with a gut shot and you still don't want to continue?

oh trust me, there was no thought of flatting here, strictly 3b/fold. and yeah, since I even said he doesn't like folding 3b's. A4o was just a bad idea
