    Default [10NL] KTo OTB, raise flop?

    Hero (BTN): $11.09 (110.9 bb)
    SB: $3.06 (30.6 bb) {70/20, 11 hands}
    BB: $13.16 (131.6 bb)

    Preflop: Hero is BTN with K T
    Hero raises to $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB folds

    Flop: ($0.70) K 9 J (2 players)
    SB bets $0.33, Hero raises to $1

    So I can see him donking like all his draws, straights, top pairs, and some of his second pairs here.

    Board: JhKc9c7s
    Equity Win Tie
    Hero 54.61% 50.14% 4.48% { KdTh }
    SB 45.39% 40.91% 4.48% { JJ, 99, AKs, K2s+, QTs+, J8s+, AcQc, AcJc, AcTc, Ac8c, Qc8c, Tc8c, Ac7c, Qc7c, Jc7c, Tc7c, 8c7c, Ac6c, Qc6c, Jc6c, 8c6c, 7c6c, Ac5c, Qc5c, 8c5c, 7c5c, 6c5c, Ac4c, Qc4c, 6c4c, 5c4c, Ac3c, Ac2c, AKo, K5o+, QTo+, J9o+ }

    Raising = good? Or are we calling and re-evaluating the turn?

    Thoughts? I'll post a more in depth analysis of this hand later on after people have had a chance to post.

    Our hand isn't that great. Why do we want to raise and just end up in bad shape against hands that are better than us or have boat loads of equity against us?

    I think this should be a call, we have position, we block straight draws and have a gutshot ourself (which isn't a huge advantage) but villain will likely hit more two pairs which we may be able to milk a bit more money out of.

    It's a case of knowing that just because we likely have the best hand now doesn't give us a right to win the hand. We have weak TP on a very wet board. Good hand to call with but some of the time the board will just run out badly, but all those better made hands we can raise with and plenty of draws ourself which we can play well IP mean we don't have to worry about being exploited in this spot.

    Similar to your other 67 hand. If you raise every hand that is remotely strong on any street, then your call down ranges will be very weak and you'll likely be pretty exploitable (folding too much) to barrels.

    You aren't doing all that great against his range here. I like calling the flop and then trying to get in some money on the turn on better cards while avoiding the shitstorm of bad cards in an inflated pot.

    I think that it would be better if you only made a call on the flop, and see the turn.

    It's kinda funny I come back after about 4 days without even being able to touch poker at all and I look at this hand and I'm like, "what the hell was I doing here?"

    So, what was the rest of the hand?

    It's been said above, but I'd much rather just call in position on the flop here.

    The Angelo question, 'what's your plan if he raises' ? (which will be a push given the effective stacks)
