    Default [10NL] 99...SB vs BB

Villain is 38/23 over 14 hands.

    PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    BTN: $33.19
    Hero (SB): $10.00
    BB: $9.84
    UTG: $9.82
    MP: $22.50
    CO: $11.12

Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has 9 9

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

    Flop: ($0.90, 3 players) J Q 9
Hero bets $0.75, BB calls $0.75, fold

    Turn: ($2.40, 2 players) 5
Hero bets $2.05, BB calls $2.05

    River: ($6.50, 2 players) K
    Hero ???

Not happy with this river. I think my hand has lost all it's value, I'm not sure I can get called by worse. If villain was calling down w/ like QT, JT, T9 he just got there. If he was calling w/ like KQ, KJ, QJ or J9, maybe Q9, I'm not sure I can get a call from those hands now either.

    I have 53% equity against that range. So I think our options are;

Jam (get maximum value with a crying call from 2P)
Bet smaller, say 1/2 pot. (more likely to get a call from 2P?)
C/c (Not sure villain ever bets here without a 10 so I don't like this option)
Currently grinding live cash games. Life is good.

This is terrible but I desperately wanna c/f although I'd probably c/c as villain has laggy stats.

he seems a shorty that won a few hands or doubled up.
his QJ/Q9/J9/JJ would raise at some point on that board so i would discount that, or at least a big % of them, but i do agree he has lots of Tx in his range and also Qx/Jx that calls 2barrels. i would make it a c/decide or 2$/f. dont ever jam this, there is no value in it , unlless you hold AT
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

in this situation I would bet 1/3 of the pot. It is useful to get information and also it is a value bet, cause i he has not have a T he will just call

I'm probably betting something small here like 1/3 or less jsut to block a bluff. I don't see anyone raise bluffing the river at these stakes but he could stab with hands we still beat. Check calling is going to be much more expensive and I don't like his betting range vs his calling range.

b/f'ing small looks horrible to me, we're asking to be raised. I think I c/c or c/f, depending on his sizing. This spot is puke.

Why no 3 bet pre? There should be a reason you make any play in this spot pre. If this is your standard, understand why you do it.

Why not pot bet the flop?

    Bet bigger on turn.

c/f river, it will get checked back alot. What air could he have to bluff with, none imo? He won't bet 2 pair.
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
