    Default sour beers

I've been itching for more sour beer since trying it at the Russian River Brewery in February.

Today I had some New Belgium 2015 La Folie Wood-Aged Sour Ale. It was good and I'll probably buy some more of this soon from BevMo.

I'm still acquiring a taste for sours. Sometimes they are fantastic and other times they taste like nasty vinegar.

    himself fucker.
I've only ever had one sour beer at some super bar that brewed all their own stuff. I really liked it, from the flavor to how it sat in the stomach, but no one else was a fan.

Yeah, a lot of people don't like it.

Tonight I tried the Anderson Valley Holy Gose Ale. Tasting more like champagne than a sour, it was't as satisfying as the New Belgium Sour.

I've tried several and while I'd really like to enjoy it (it seems like it'd be right up my alley) I'm just not a huge fan.
So you click their picture and then you get their money?

I had Almanac Golden Gate Gose recently and it isn't bad.

Pangaea Bier Cafe in Sacramento has quite a few sours on tap. Last week I had a good Coco one from Tahoe Mountain Brewing Company.

Duchess de Burgogne is very good
    Monk's Flemish
    Boon Mariage Parfait
    Rodenbach
    Ritterguts (a salted sour)

Jester King brewery in Austin, TX is amazing. I don't know if they distribute, but if you or anyone else in the area is around, I highly recommend.

Sounds like I need to take a trip to Austin.

On Saturday I was at Mikkeller Bar in San Francisco. I tried the LoverBeer Beerbera Sour Ale Aged with Barbera Grapes and the Spontanseabuckthorn. The SeaBuckthorn was better.

On Sunday we stopped at The Rare Barrel in Berkeley where I picked up a bottle of Forces Unseen Golden Sour after enjoying it on draft at their bar. They mentioned that Mraz Brewery in El Dorado Hills is worth checking out.
