never folding KK preflop for 200BB
  9. #234
Yeah, given the recent history at the table I don't think I could have possibly done anything but shove.

I'm 23/20 over 150 hands played with the same people with a 12% 3bet. I've 4bet/folded once before and folded to a couple 4bets. That was also my second squeeze in like 8 hands.

Villainn seemed like a decent reg, he was like 20/22, seemed to have a good DB frequency, 3betting around 9-10% pre...so it's probably safe to say he was capable of noticing me looking like I was getting out of line. His sizing is just wtf tho.

well considering he's 200BB deep and OOP his 4b should be technically like $19 or something, but $25 works as well

here's an own, villain is a reg but doesn't know me that well:

ok heres a dumb pointless question:

What is the general consensus on a fish who wins a fairly large sized pot (<40bb) from you by making a big bet and you fold then leaves immediately the hand after. Did he have it or just run a big bluff get scared and leave?
  17. #242
had it and is pissed he didn't get paid off

Figured I'd bump this bad boy rather than start a new thread.

Did some video get released recently or have things changed so much the last little while where it has been determined that 3betting really small is a great strategy?

I've started getting my feet wet lately and I can't believe how many 8bb 3bets I'm seeing coming from the blinds vs a 3bb open. Nearly every single reg is doing this and I'm wondering where the hell that came form? This is at Ongame btw.

    ftwiw, I fucking love it.

    Not that I know of.

It must be a Micro Stakes thing because basically no one does that at 100-200nl
  20. #245
lots of 600nl+ ongame laggs do this, like 5-8BB 3bets but IP mainly. I don't think they're very good fwiw. Doing small 3bets OOP seems terrible to me vs anyone decent.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

Haha fuck you, this sounds like a shot at me for being in the micros. As soon as I finish my mandatory 50NL boot camp and get my game figured out again I'm gunning for you Jonny boy.

Hmm, it must have trickled down from there and then get applied totally incorrectly (or I should say more incorrectly because I agree with you that it doesn't seem like a great strategy) by the monkey see monkey do crowd. Just thought it was odd that every single player does it.

    LOL

Definitely was not a shot at you, but as I was posting that I knew there was a good chance that you would interpret it as that.

I do notice a lot more dumb stuff like this going on at 100nl than at 200nl, and the few regs that do this are usually scared 50nl/100nl regs taking a shot at 100/200nl. The type of guys that don't understand position and just raise the same hands from all positions and use the same raise size.
