    Default Interpreting a bet line

Came across this twice this session, both times no reads on opponent (<10 hands played on both) and I'm not sure whether to interpret these as missed overcards / bluff or monster. I folded both times as I had < 2 pair on both rivers (no completed draws on either board, no broadways both times which is why I was wondering about missed overcards).

The situation; I raise in CO/BTN, small reraise by SB/BB. From here, villain basically bets flop and turn very small (<1/5th pot) and I call only because of the pot odds I'm getting. On the river, villain open shoves.

Is this a monster or a bluff at these stakes?

Is my assumed range for SB/BB reraise preflop of JJ+, AQo/s+ for the standard 25nl player correct or am I being too generous and can include AJs, QKs?

By the way, I say standard 25nl player in that I assume most of them aren't going to be protecting their blinds or worried about blind steals. If I'm suspecting a blind steal I reraise with a much wider range here (but wouldn't contemplate playing the hand so strangely!)

If it's a bluff, it's a matter of time before villain runs into something hero isn't folding, and all the money he steals will not come close to being enough to cover that loss. If it's value, then he's losing a GREAT deal of value by playing his hand like this. It's very hard to be exploited when you fold to these river shoves into relatively small pots. Just don't be tempted to hero call marginal hands.

I would be making a detailed street-by-street note on villain, and would be seeking to trap him with overpairs and better. Assuming it's zoom, I'd also be ctrl/folding pre flop when I have junk against him, so I can view how he plays against others in the hope of seeing a showdown. But as default I'd be looking to hit him with strong overpairs and better.

carried on playing 12 tables of 2nl as an extension to the post i made in drupydroors thread and came across this guy. He was regularly shoving turns and rivers into small pots and i was having to fold weak pairs etc. Thought of this thread at the time so carried on with it. probably lucky that i got sucked out on a couple of time as it gave him encouragement to keep doing it: equities are all villain : hero

You guys on drugs in the first hand, last post?

In general in the micros, huge overbets on the river indicate monsters. That doesn't mean that you may also find the random crazy dunk donk betting 10x the pot with air, but's this is rather not the rule.

Great thanks. Monster was my feeling at these stakes but I never know how many people are watching TV poker and thinking they're making sick plays

    Some interesting hands there Keith
