    (re)raise preflop with AK
    do the right thing.

    At least some info on the players is helpfull. Here are my thoughts against unknowns;

1: I like 3betting preflop to not get a multiway pot. As played, fold flop.

2: I'd 3bet pre again because it looks super strong from SB so you're getting a lot of folds. It's also hard to get paid once you hit, and you're not hitting that often. Flop is ok if he's having a wide enough range.

    3: fold preflop

4: raise flop, get it in. I'd bet the turn to get better hands to fold, but I'm not very confident it's better than checking behind with your hand.

5: That is one of the worst cards to barrel imo.

    6: I'm often folding flop.

3bet AK pre. Fold Q8o and 49s vs 3bet. I rarely cbet flop #5 and prob never barrel that turn. Calling flop #6 is kinda meh, since we wil be playing a huge pot oop with a meh hand.

    Go on

I dump even better hands when villains raise even less. I used to call with trash in spots like this but from what all I've heard/can tell is that is just makes you bleed money. Maybe I'm just shitty postflop.

From what I can tell, when donk players 3bet smaller they are even stronger...

I'd rather call 49hh than Q8o though. At least you're not suffering from as much reverse implied with 49hh.

I agree, 49s is better in this situation

MinSim said a 3b looks really strong, especially since we're OOP, the opener is UTG. This is why I didn't want to 3b. It looks TOO strong, imo. Comments?

    Is this really true?

It could just be personal preference, but it's the same way as I'd rather 3bet 49hh from the blinds than Q8o.

At least we can play some flops stronger with 49hh (fd's). I can't imagine what flop we'd be happy playing strongly with Q8o... except for maybe 882 or something. And even then we should probably call down.

Regardless, I would 3bet neither from the blinds and I fold both here.

the guy is 3betting to 7bbs!

this affords us the option to play a pot in position with like 130+bb behind in a 14bb pot
