firefox freezing

    Default firefox freezing

    Out of the blue my firefox 3 has decided to start freezing/locking up every 10 or 15 secs.

    I have tried removing and reinstalling and tried going back to firefox2.



    I'd use opera, but when i try to go to any web page it says:

    ERROR! Could not connect to proxy server, Access denied.

    I'm not using a proxy server...


    any suggestions would be appreciated
