PT stats since April

Had one of my worst months in a long time in march. I ended up a smallish $5000 after 36k hands.

To make up for all the shitty variance last month, April has been good for me. I really feel that the 2000nl games are very beatable and look forward to getting some real volume of play in those games this year.

Here's my nitty stats for the month.

Just curious, do you play any looser than myself? Had the impression that you weren't exactly playing a LAG style yourself.

Bah I have only ran truly bad for 2 or 3 months over the last 3+years and even in those months I managed to squeek out a small profit.

'steveshouseofdonkspoker' is 100% Prima/Microgaming network. You are welcome to join my tables. Its open for Americans even if there are issues with getting money on and off the sites.

BTW: If you are looking for fullring games look elsewhere.

edit2: I watched your 400nl 6-max video, and in my eyes you often suffer from 'EV blindness', there are so many things I want to do differently that it would be very time consuming to address it all(I have been quite busy lately, but I will try to comment on what I feel are some key mistakes later, generally small ones but they add upp). Perhaps its more of a style thing and maybe you will prove me wrong and start crushing! Anyhow I enjoyed the video, first time i see how an average grinder plays and reasons at those stakes.

Props to your successful approach to full ring games though, you are still one of the better players here and post some sencible stuff.

Similar stats 23/21 but my agg frequecy is up to 2.9 whereas yours is 2 (although i note your preflop stats arent included)

My flop/turn agg numbers are higher, just made me think you were much tighter but then the euro games are less aggro than the US games, even in big games right?

btw, id still love to emulate your acheivments, and great to see you still post for those below to see and admire.
  13. #313
I strongly disagree that the euro midstakes and highstakes games are tighter than on the american sites, I would guess that the opposite true.

Aggression numbers go down when you make good calldowns. I think this might be something i am good at.

OMG this gave me such a boner and let me so far down all in one sentence. I really think this is a problem of mine as well from not playing enough with pokerstove and doing enough analyzing in PT.

Yeah I've seen you a few short sessions on the €400 tables, good job moving up. I only have 117 hands on you. My first impression is that you play a solid but somewhat tight TAG style game.

Yeah i still need to get used to the stakes, i run about 20/16 so far.On 200NL this monthy i run about 22/18, wich i am aiming for at 400NL, need some time tough, to 400NL is a big jump.
Anyway im happy that my W$WSF% has improved alot, i had it at 38% but i did some spewsessions on lower stakes and now its around 45%, wich is alot better.

Sorry Courtiebee, that was a tongue in cheek sexist comment directed at the presumably MALE poster who was jokingly proiposing marriage. I am not a shallow person and admire females to a greater degree whensucceeding in society due to some obvious restraints men don't have to deal wih.

I do seem to live on to opposite side of the world and am in an almost 2 year relationship. If you ever attend some WsOp tournaments in the states I would be honored to meat you.

Another ownage day and the 4th day in a row i have been able to put in a high volume of play at higher stakes, I hope its not just varians, but I have this aha feeling about taking my gameplay to the next level, very likely I should be able to be a consistant high stakes winner with some table selection. 2008 will be an interesting year.

heres todays graf again not converting euros.

Below a graf of my last 4 days:
I was actually very lazy the first week of April, but then played a massive amount of hands in a short time for some reason.

dollar adjused numbers in the below stats. I might try to keep playing high volume for the rest of the month and attempt to break the $100k mark for a months play for the first time. I am obviously able to keep a high level of concentration for long hours the few occations I'm not too lazy. So I think its doable with some luck and motivation.

    Good job man,

You should definitely post hands in the highstakes forum etc!

good luck on the 100k month, that would be sick
  25. #325
Is it possible to run any hotter? Ran at like 1ptbb/100 last month and now almost 10ptbb/100 so far this month. Just shows how many hands it takes for winrates to converge. Still a long way to go in April and I'm feeling more motivated than ever!

It shows again that on European sites you can win lots on money with applied, rather than sheer, aggression and great hand reading skills. Well done cocco_bill!
  28. #328
Biggest downswing within the same day ever, fortunately I made most of it back. 5700 hands is a monster session for me but I hate quitting when down. Stats are also looser than normal because lots of it was 2 to 5 handed towards the end.

I think I played well most of the time and ran bad especially at 20/40. Some big hands..

Very lazy month, only playing about 3 tables average because of my very short sessions. Almost 2,5$/hand and combined with last month about $2/hand for 40k+hands.

I am known as a nit for good reasons on these forums, but this months stats are at least between Lag and Tag play IMO.

One more thng I would like to add. I played my fifth live tournament without making the money. This time I got knocked out with 37 people left 3 places from the bubble getting it all in pre flop w AA against QQ, the winnwr of the pot had 3rd place at that point. I also got place 12/280 in the bahamas with the very top heavy bubble of 10/280.Live tournies and online tournies are clerly not for me...after an almst 4 year career I have never made a big score.

The cream will always rise to the top. A top player such as yourself has to have a huge edge in those donkaments and I wouldn't be surprised if get your big score soon enough.

I was planning to , but because my girlfriend is heading to Sweden in June with the difficulties to get her a VISA to the states it is unlikely

It may be possible but I doubt we can get the VISA so quickly..

Finally finished the long process of copying all my HH's from my laptop to my stationary computer I've compiled almost everything from my last 604 days of play.
After playing only about 30k hands in the last 3 months perhaps its time for me to refocus and let this old thread die on this note.

If anyone wants to know what happened to me. I've settled down as a midstakes grinder (after a failed shot at high stakes) making about $180/hour since July. Nowadays I win about 3ptbb/100. I miss the good old times
