If we assume villian doesn't limp in with AA,QQ,JJ then,

The pot odds are 160/720= 1/4.5.

I call and check his action.

Edit: SB alo has something, which means we might have less outs, but still we are getting good pot odds.

Raise preflop, AJ is a very bad hand to see a flop multiway, because you have no idea where you stand on most flops that hit you.

As played you are in a tough spot, but I think it is a fold

yeah I hate pre, there is no rule that says you have to play the hand, but I would just raise. Limping seems the worst option.

as played as crazy as it sounds I would just call the 20 and see what happens because we don't really want to put our stack in here and you probably will not fold a flush draw. Now I'd call and see if you can spike a full I guess

I agree with you guys, I should have raised preflop. I am not really sure why I didn't, but looks like it was an error regardless.

raising the flop is fine I think, flush draws arent folding which is good so you get value from those hands. Also his raise is useful to you, as you can now determine that you may infact be behind. His mini raise looks like hes just trying to get more money in the pot, in a sng He probably will not 3 bet even the best of his draws here OOP. I mean even KdQd im pretty sure he would just call, especially so early in the event.

Umm as played I would just call this mini raise, and fold to a decent sized bet on the turn. He may even underbet again giving you odds to fill up. But i defeinately think you are behind a lot of the time here.

raising (or) folding > limping pre

I probably just let this go preflop in the early stages of the game, as I feel my edge comes in when the blinds get high.

There is basically no flop that you are real excited about most of the time with AJ with this many limpers. Chances are you will have to play a really big pot with like top pair against others in the hand who will have decent equity with their drawing hands on many of the flops you do actually hit.

As played, this is another situation Tai where you shouldn't raise unless you are willing to get it in. 3 betting then folding is atrocious, so I would likely just call the 20 and go from there.
