    This is so gangsta

    Hand #48

Thomas Cannuli opens the button to 400,000, and Max Steinberg defends his big blind. The flop is 432, and both players check. The turn is the J, and Steinberg leads for 325,000. Cannuli raises to 1,250,000. Steinberg reraises to 3,800,000, and Cannuli tanks for several minutes, then folds. Steinberg shows T9.

    Max Steinberg - 11,870,000 (74 bb)
    Thomas Cannuli - 11,390,000 (72 bb)

    Hot damn...

{it was a typo} nothing to get excited about.

The leaderboard was showing Steinberg w/ 5x chips as 2nd place.

IDK if a tell was needed.

Steinberg limped UTG, C-bet a flop that smacks a calling range... or a UTG limping range.

The final board was straight city.

The only reason to bet on the end is if Steinberg had 2-pair. I don't think he's getting value from anything else.

How much of Steinberg's range is 2-pair OTR, vs other straights and his folding range?

I kinda think it was Steinberg's value to lose OTR. He had the nuts. He's in the same boat to get value from 2-pair hands, maybe, but he's def getting called by all the straights.
  15. #15
Not sure what Max's UTG limping range is, though I know he tends to open limp more than most..I assume hands that don't want to be 3-bet along with some monsters.

At a live game last night someone whipped out a phone and was commenting on how the game was going. I didn't even know max was in it but it was pretty cool hearing some random mention him and how well he was doing and I'm like max? I know that guy! (kinda, in an Internet way) which was pretty cool.

Sick! Congrats dude. I saw something about a check for $1mm, and figured you had bubbled the FT. I guess since every Nov9'er is guaranteed at least a million, they just cut everyone a check?

I think they pay everyone the prize for 9th place.

First eliminated in November doesn't get any more. Everyone else gets whatever is owed, accordingly.

I get that everyone wanted Negreanu to make the final table, but I don't understand the sentiment that this November 9 will be worse than previous years. Like, if you're interested in poker, this is a pretty cool final table.

Max is a legit BOSS and a bracelet winner. Also, the fact that he got his entry via DraftKings is probably great for poker. I second the notion that it's awesome that he wore a suit at the table. Maybe that'll help him run like Zinno.

McKeehen is a total pro and a great player, for him to get through another 6k+ field at the WSOP is pretty awesome.

    anyway, CAN'T WAIT.

p.s. Negreanu donked up his bustout hand, it's a pretty clear shove pre vs. someone opening like 90% of hands.

Soo....if you took the 10 worst-played hands over the past 3 episodes of the ESPN coverage, I'd guess that Daniel Negreanu had about 7 of them.

Ditto and can add the following:

    Played beer pong with him

Knocked him out of a private FTR tournament in Vegas. Disclaimer, it might have been Danny and whichever it was they were distracted because they had to go to the airport to pick up the girlfriend.

Had him correctly peg my hand once in another tournament in Vegas.
