    Default Using Aid Statistical Programs

This Last months some of the regulars i usually known from online playing Admitt about using External Programs wich give all Statistics on the Fly, at first i tought this could be a huge advantage but after pondering a bit, i came to the conclusion that this isnt a BIG HELP at all (correct if im wrong), most intermediatte players seem to know all the statistics about Outs vs Pot Odds , expected value , etc , etc.
But HOW about Pattern / Betting / Knowing you player Reading it seems to me this is the most important part of the game.

My Question is How Helpfull are this Programs , and what this stands in the border of Cheating and not cheating.

As far to me at first glance they arent That Helpfull but hey im just still newbish and eager to learn . Shoot Out some comments

if it helps you remember pot odds, expected hand values, etc, that should be fine. it's not cheating. and i believe you could sit down at a casino poker table with any kind of charts (although, not a computer). probably wouldn't do much for your table image.

i work quite a bit with neural nets, predictive algorithms, etc, and can't really see any use for these types of programs DURING game play. interesting for simulations afterwards, but there's just too much crazy play, and you'd be more focused on inputting variables, rather than watching the game.

Yeah, I've heard of those programs, they seem interesting, but I haven't ever used anything of them.

If the stats just fly up on the screen while you're playing, it could help a beginner learn pot odds, etc, and probably help their game.

But, personally, they probably wouldn't help me too much.

I would think that it would hurt you in the long run. I mean in live games you would never be able to use it, seems like it more a crutch then anything else.

I actually downloaded a kind of aid I guess you could say where it would tell you the percentage chance you had of winning when it would simulate like 100,000 hands in about 10 seconds or something. It was before I even started playing real money and it was way the hell more of a bad thing than a good thing. For one it takes way too much time. Basically I agree 100% with ripptyde and if they had something that somehow could tell what you had and would input and run everything itself and then just pop up some odds in 2 seconds or less then it would be worth checking out. If it requires any input on your own I would never screw with it.
